  • Patent number: 6810128
Abstract: This invention concerns an electromagnetic induction actuator to be mounted in small equipment such as portable telephones and pagers; also concerns such portable telecommunications equipment. The electromagnetic induction actuator, as well as the portable telecommunications equipment in which it is mounted, can be assembled in a thin and small package even though there are tabs as shock resistance stoppers, and has good acoustical characteristics. In the electromagnetic induction actuator there is a yoke that has tabs as stoppers to provide shock resistance, and there are springs that have inner rings, outer rings, bridge arms that connect the inner and outer rings and recesses that correspond to the tabs of the yoke.

  • Publication number: 20040119343
Abstract: An improved vibrating actuator for notifying the user of a call upon signal arrival by any of a buzzer, a speech and a vibration, and a power supply mechanism thereof. The device has high impact resistance by a magnetic yoke having a flange, a damper material is provided between an oscillation plate and a cover to prevent generation of noise, and a hole is provided in the cover to change acoustic characteristics as required within the same frequency band. As a power supply mechanism for ensuring electrical connection, a projecting electrical connection terminal is provided on the actuator side, and a conductive material touching with the electrical connection terminal is provided as a power supply terminal electrically connected to a power supply section of a circuit board.

  • Patent number: 5064252
Abstract: A brake fluid pressure controller is interposed between a master cylinder and the rear wheel cylinders. The controller comprises a housing having an inlet, an outlet and a chamber which provides communication between the inlet and the outlet. An annular sealing member is disposed around a piston in the chamber with a clearance left therebetween. The sealing member has an inner perimeter defining a valve seat and an outer perimeter defining a flexible lip portion which is in contact with the internal wall of the chamber. When a valve head of the piston sits on the valve seat of the sealing member, the inner perimeter of the valve seat cuts off the communication between the inlet and the outlet. Meanwhile, the outer perimeter permits a communication from the outlet to the inlet but shuts off a communication from the inlet to the outlet. A spring urges the piston to a direction in which the valve head separates from the valve seat.

  • Patent number: 4754854
Abstract: A disc brake assembly includes a stationary support member mounted on a vehicle body structure and having at least one support pin fixed thereto, a caliper member slidably supported on the support pin to be movable in an axial direction, and a tubular elastic boot arranged in surrounding relationship with the support pin to enclose a sliding portion on the same. To protect the elastic boot, a cylindrical elastic protector is arranged to contain therein the elastic boot, the elastic protector having one end coupled with a member such as a washer or a cup-shaped member fixed to the outer end of the support pin and the other end pressed into contact with an end face of the support portion of the caliper member.

  • Patent number: 4678064
Abstract: A sealing boot for use in a disc brake assembly which includes a stationary support member having a support pin fixed thereto, and a caliper member having a boss portion slidably supported on the support pin. The sealing boot includes a bellows portion integrally formed at the opposite ends thereof with an outside cylindrical sealing portion coupled over the support pin and an inside cylindrical sealing portion coupled within an annular groove in the boss portion, the inside sealing portion being formed at its outer circumference with a first annular projection in contact with the bottom surface of the annular groove and at its inner circumference with a second annular projection sliding in contact with the support pin. The first annular projection of the inside sealing portion is formed at its one side with a steep annular surface directed outwardly and at its other side with a gentle slope annular surface and has a rounded annular head in contact with the bottom surface of the annular groove.

  • Patent number: 4418797
Abstract: In a disc brake such as a sliding caliper disc brake, the caliper is slidably mounted for movement with respect to a torque plate by first and second sliding connections. The first connection is provided by a pair of parallel pins axially secured to the torque plate and lugs integral with the caliper member and engaging over the pins while the second connection is provided by extension portions of the pins and apertures engaging the extension portions in a backing plate of a pad assembly fast on a lim portion of the caliper. The construction is such that a resulting span from combining the first and second sliding connections is longer than is obtained by the conventional sliding connections which are usually provided by a pair of pins and lugs engaging the pins. The longer span of sliding connections of the invention is effective to prevent the caliper member from being rotated around an imaginary axis normal to the axis of the friction disc.

  • Patent number: 4296841
Abstract: An antirattle spring for a disc brake is represented as being entirely disposed outside of a clearance between one of a plurality of edges of pad assemblies and a stationary member anchoring against the one edge. Consequently, the antirattle spring is freed from any restraint as would otherwise be imposed upon a designer of a more complicated and smaller sized configuration of the spring, and is therefore more likely to retain its resiliency than are prior art antirattle springs. The antirattle spring has one end thereof bolted to the stationary member and the other end thereof engaging one of the plurality of edges with a required elastic energy stored within the middle portion of the spring.
