  • Patent number: 11983019
Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle that delivers a package includes a plurality of rotary wings, a plurality of first motors, a main body, a connector, a movable block, and a processor. When the connector is connected to a rail, the processor sets a rotation rate of the plurality of first motors to a rotation rate that is lower than a minimum rotation rate necessary for floating and higher than a minimum rotation rate necessary for propulsion along the rail. Furthermore, the processor causes the movable block to increase the angle formed by the normal direction of an imaginary plane containing the plurality of rotary wings relative to a support direction of the connector.

  • Publication number: 20080091583
Abstract: A method for generating a futures index based on active, rule-based analysis of at least two commodities futures is disclosed. The method can include identifying which commodity futures to include in a set under analysis. A parameter can be selected to measure a signal of future expected risk premium of each commodity future of the set. The signal for each commodity future of the set can be calculated. The set of commodity futures can be ranked relative to each other according to the value of the signal for each commodity future. A predetermined rule can be applied to each commodity future in the set to determine whether a position is taken in each commodity future, the determination depending on its ranking.

  • Patent number: 6287465
Abstract: Provided are an ozone generator 24 for generating ozone, an atomizer nozzle 27 arranged inside and adjacent to a top of a sewage-treating waste water treatment vessel 16 for spraying ozone and water in mixture, a compressor 25 for supplying ozone generated by the ozone generator 24 to the atomizer nozzle 27 and a pump 26 for supplying water to the atomizer nozzle 27. Surface of the sewage is covered with ozone and fine water particles which are sprayed from the atomizer nozzle 27 into the waste water treatment vessel 16, and hydroxyl radical with high activity is generated by the ozone and water molecules In the fine water particles to oxidize the smell components, resulting in suppressing diffusion of offensive smell out of the waste water treatment vessel 16.

  • Patent number: 5693120
Abstract: In a vacuum degassing and decarburization treatment, the present invention uses a CO.sub.2 gas as a recirculating gas and as a stirring gas without inviting stoppage of decarburization and an increase in the carbon concentration and moreover, without an increase in the amount of addition of an alloy, and can reduce the gas cost. The present invention provides a production method for a low carbon molten steel which comprises blowing a CO.sub.2 gas from the start of degassing treatment till the carbon concentration of the molten steel reaches 50 ppm in vacuum degassing and decarburization treatment of the molten steel, and thereafter blowing an Ar gas.

  • Patent number: 5020968
Abstract: A rotating speed control system for a pneumatically driven spindle used in a machine tool, comprises a spindle possessing a male-threaded part, a turbine mounted on the spindle by a nut with a convexo-concave portion being formed in one face thereof, a casing for accommodating the spindle and the turbine, an air supply line connected to the casing so as to supply air to drive the turbine, a valve disposed in the air supply line so as to adjust the flow rate of the air to be supplied to the turbine, a sensor facing the convexo-concave portion of the nut so as to detect the rotating speed of the turbine, and a control circuit for comparing a sensor detected rotating speed with a predetermined rotating speed and for adjusting the valve in accordance with the difference between two rotating speeds, so as to reduce the difference.

  • Patent number: 4210115
Abstract: A warm air intake system for an internal combustion engine having a change-over valve which selectively connects an air intake passage of the engine to a cold air source or to a warm air source, diaphragm means supplied with intake manifold vacuum by a vacuum passage so as to change-over the change-over valve in accordance with supply or relief of vacuum to its diaphragm chamber, and a snap action thermostat control valve which involves a temperature hysteresis between its on and off operations and which selectively opens a middle portion of the vacuum passage to the atmosphere in accordance with the temperature of the air flowing through the air intake passage.
