  • Patent number: 7553374
Abstract: In the present invention, a gas flow restraining ring facing corner portions of the front face of a substrate horizontally held on a substrate holding unit and movable up and down, is set to a predetermined height in accordance with a coating treatment. Then, a coating solution containing a coating film forming component and a solvent is applied to the front face of the substrate and spread into a thin film state by a so-called spin coating method, and thereafter the substrate is rotated at a high speed so that the coating solution is dried. In this case, it is possible to control fresh gas flow from above the substrate to decrease the difference in evaporation rate of the solvent between the coating solution on the corner portions of the substrate and the coating solution inside them, thus enabling the coating treatment uniform within a plane on the substrate.

  • Patent number: 6279356
Abstract: A warp-knitted fabric comprising a dark-colored base weave and an insertion weave of a lighter color than the base weave, wherein the base weave has formed therein mesh-like gaps with a maximum length of 0.5-15 mm which are present at 5-200 per square inch. The knitted fabric exhibits coloring effects such as enhanced luster and an iridescent effect, just as if interference colors were being expressed.

  • Patent number: 5106905
Abstract: A heat resistant colorant for mass-coloring polyester such as polyethylene terephthalate, containing 100 parts of pigments and/or dyes and 42.about.2,000 parts of a liquid aliphatic polyester dispersing medium having a viscosity at 25.degree. C. not exceeding 150 poises and a hydroxyl value not exceeding 25 mgKOH/g. The dispersing medium contains a polycondensate of alkylene glycols including at least 30% by weight of 1,3-butanediol with at least one aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, which polycondensate has at least one terminal group blocked with a monohydric alcohol. The colorants are easily blended and uniformly dispersed in a fiber grade polyester, without causing degradation of the polyester. Fibers mass-colored by the colorant are excellent in stability during their manufacture and uniform in quality.

  • Patent number: 4879335
Abstract: A black liquid colorant for dope dyeing of polyester fibers, comprising 5-50 wt % carbon black obtained by wet-oxidation with peroxide and subsequent neutralization of a gas phase oxidized carbon black, and 95-50 wt % liquid dispersion medium such as liquid polyester. Black polyester fibers, typically polyethylene terephthalate fibers, dope-dyed with preferably 3-15 wt % base on the polyester of said black liquid colorant, have a deep blackness with a bluish tone and neither polymer deterioration nor filament breakage is observed.
