  • Publication number: 20050097524
Abstract: An information processing apparatus has: a memory 13; CPU for executing a program written in the memory 13; a secure module 20; and storage means for storing a plurality of encrypted programs into which a program is divided. The CPU transmits the program stored in the storage means to the secure module 20. The secure module 20 has: means for receiving the program stored in the storage means, means for returning the received program to an executable state; means for writing the program, which has been returned to the executable state, in the memory 13 in a sequence for CPU to execute, and means for deleting the program from the memory 13 by CPU after execution is completed. When executing the program, the information processing apparatus can make reverse analysis by a malicious third party difficult, and enhance security of a load module to be executed.

  • Publication number: 20040015992
Abstract: A system includes a plurality of data stream capture devices, one or more storage devices and a plurality of user devices, all of which are connectable to each other via a LAN. The user device transmits a request to the capture device in accordance with a user's request, and transmits a request to said storage device in accordance with a user's request. When it is determined that the capture device is tunable to a channel for a desired broadcast program, in accordance with a received request, the capture device is tuned to the channel, and receives and provides a data stream of the program. In accordance with a received request, the storage device records the data stream of the desired program from the capture device which is tuned to the channel. In accordance with a received request, the storage device transmits a desired recorded data stream.

  • Publication number: 20030156826
Abstract: A first program schedule of a receivable broadcast channel is stored in a memory device. A program in the first program schedule broadcast in a particular period of time is mapped into a second program schedule by a controller to thereby set a virtual channel including the second program schedule. When a user selects the virtual channel, the controller replays the broadcast program in accordance with the second program schedule of the virtual channel.

  • Patent number: 5606632
Abstract: A device comprises a look-up table translating unit, a region dividing unit and a reduced image generating unit to reduce the size of a color image using look-up tables and a reference look-up table. Each of the look-up and reference look-up tables has as many entries as there are the pixel values. The look-up table translating unit creates an entry check table. The entry check table is for translating the table entries of the look-up table into the those of the reference look-up table. The region dividing unit divides the original color image into a plurality of regions. The reduced image generating unit accesses the entry check table and the reference look-up table to selectively determine a representative pixel of the region based on the RGB values thereof to generate the reduced color images.

  • Patent number: 5056556
Abstract: A solenoid valve comprising a valve body, and a poppet vertically slidable within the valve body and moved to and from a valve seat so as to open and close an oil passage. The poppet is in the form of a cylindrical tube and is slidably fit around and supported by a guide rod in an oil-tight manner. The guide rod has a valve seat at its bottom and an oil passage for communication with the interior of the poppet. Features of the present invention are as follows. The guide rod has a surface on which the inner peripheral surface of the poppet is slidable. The outer diameter of such a surface of the guide rod is slightly smaller than that of the valve seat. In this way, the solenoid valve acts as an on-off valve and a relief valve. The valve of the type as thus far explained further includes a passage for reducing the flow velocity of an oil as pressurized between the poppet and the guide rod. A surface of the poppet is shaped to maintain an oil film between the poppet and the valve seat.

  • Patent number: 4049118
Abstract: A holding device for holding a plurality of electrical and electronic parts or elements. The holding device of paper or similar resilient material includes a base of tape-like configuration and a plurality of holding portions formed in the longitudinal direction of the base. The holding portion further includes tongue portion formed by a slit which is cut in a direction normal to the longitudinal direction of the base to allow U-shaped lead wires of the electrical parts or elements to be inserted into the base through the slit and to be held in position by pressing the tongue portion into the space defined by the lead wire for efficient handling of such parts and elements as one unit on the base.
