  • Publication number: 20160116887
Abstract: In an imaging element having a function for partially transmitting image data of a partial region on an image-capturing surface, when an input/output interface of the imaging element becomes a limitation factor of a frame rate, it is desired to improve the frame rate by devising a driving method. By providing a table for storing coordinate ranges of a plurality of regions, image data of the plurality of the coordinate ranges are continuously or alternately transmitted.

  • Patent number: 8675459
Abstract: The amplitude deviation of a tracking error signal in an optical disk apparatus is reliably corrected by processing signals at low costs. A servo signal generator generates a tracking error signal and a lens error signal from a photodetected signal. A lens error deviation signal memory circuit stores the lens error signal generated at the servo signal generator, and reproduces the one-turn deviation of the lens error signal. A tracking error signal corrector learns an amplitude correcting value for the tracking error signal from the tracking error signal detected in reproducing the one-turn deviation of the lens error signal, and stores the amplitude correcting value in a correcting signal generator.

  • Publication number: 20130343172
Abstract: There is disclosed an optical information recording device using a multilayer optical disc as a recording medium, in which the number of components of the device is reduced. The optical disc has, e.g., one recording layer with prepits and a plurality of recording layer without prepits. An optical pickup included in the information recording device includes a switchable lens element to focus laser beams to be applied to the multilayer optical disc onto two adjoining recording layers. A tracking error signal offset obtained for a recording layer with prepits is stored. Recording an information signal into a recording layer from which a tracking error signal cannot be detected is performed, while maintaining the accuracy of positioning on track with respect to the prepits based on the stored offset. When reading out an information signal, tracking control based on the prepits of recorded information signals is exerted.

  • Patent number: 8072850
Abstract: A rewritable optical disk apparatus, optical information recording and reproducing apparatus or the like is allowed to automatically and properly adjust the optical system to the optimum focal condition regardless of the readout signal detector's positional error and the residual aberration in the optical system. The spherical aberration and defocus are coarsely adjusted using the amplitude (PP amplitude) of the tracking error signal and then finely adjusted using the amplitude (RF amplitude) of the readout signal. Since the spherical aberration can properly be adjusted, it is possible to raise the reliability of the readout signal.

  • Patent number: 8031565
Abstract: In an optical disk apparatus having an exclusive RF detector plane mounted therefore, as a method of obtaining a synthesized readout signal based on band-synthesis is used in order to obtain a readout signal having a good S/N ratio, a waveform distortion easily caused by a delay time difference or a sensitivity difference in the playback at higher speeds can be prevented. In order to correct the delay time difference or a sensitivity error in two channels of RF signals to be band-synthesized according to the selection of the sensitivity or playback speed, a delay time controller, a sensitivity controller, and a selector for selecting a combination method are engaged. An information holder for such control or selection is also provided.

  • Patent number: 7773488
Abstract: In an information reproducing apparatus in which a liquid crystal lens element is used for the selection and switching of layers, the instability of servo control during the switching of the layers due to the overlapping of signals from two layers is eliminated and the focal point is shifted onto the correct switched layer. During the switching of the liquid crystal lens, a focus bias is added depending on the direction in which the layers are switched so as to stabilize servo control. Alternatively, the objective lens is held during the switching and after the switching of the liquid crystal lens element, the hold state is released in synchronization with the rotation of the disk.

  • Publication number: 20090175140
Abstract: An optical disc apparatus which detects an envelope of a tracking error signal in a record or playback mode of an optical disc having recording layers of a multilayer structure, which quantifies a variation caused by multilayer interference (to ?TES), and which restricts a recording or playback rate when a relationship ?TES>Vth is satisfied for a predetermined threshold Vth. With such an arrangement, degradation of a recording or reproducing performance or generation of running-off-track resulting from a variation in the tracking error signal caused by stray light reflected by ones of recording layers of the optical disc which are not a recording or reproducing target layer can be suppressed, and a good recording or playback quality can be obtained even in such an optical disc having the plurality of recording layers laminated therein.
