    Abstract: A thermoplastic resin is emulsified by feeding a thermoplastic resin composition obtained by melting and mixing 80 to 98 wt. % of the resin with 2 to 20 wt. % of poly(vinyl alcohol) in a biaxial extruder, supplying water from at least one supply port downstream from the melting zone and kneading the molten composition with water in the biaxial extruder.
