  • Patent number: 6167186
Abstract: An input image is digitized. The corresponding digital video data are reproduced while they are successively recorded on a magnetic video device. A successive recording control unit manages at which position of a successive recording area the digital data are to be successively recorded to realize the endless recording in a limitative recording area. When an event occurs, the control unit manages to exclude the recorded image before and after the corresponding event image from the endless recording area so that the event image can be held as an event recording image. Since the monitored image can be reproduced while it is recorded, it can be reproduced timely retroactively, and the image before and after an event occurs can also be reproduced instantaneously. Further, since the recording is continued while the image is reproduced, event images corresponding to plural events can be left.

  • Patent number: 5325780
Abstract: An ink washing device is disclosed, for use in a printing machine having a deposit roller with a variable luminance outer surface. The washing device includes a blade disposed adjacent to the deposit roller, for removing excess deposit of ink on the outer surface of the deposit roller, thus causing its luminance to vary. A luminance sensor detects changes in the luminance of the outer surface. The washing operation is interrupted or continued based on the detected luminance changes.

  • Patent number: 5107483
Abstract: An apparatus in accordance with the present invention sequentially fixes the wavelength of a light beam irradiated from a light source whose oscillation wavelength sequentially varies to a plurality of different wavelengths to a recording medium to required wavelengths each capable of forming a hole at absorption spectrum of the recording medium, synchronizes timing of change of the wavelength of the light source with timing of recording or regenerating each bit of information, records the optical hole formed in a manner that each bit of information corresponds to the wavelength varying in sequence, and detects the formed hole to regenerate information.

  • Patent number: 4949759
Abstract: A seersucker loom is arranged such that puckering warp yarns are divided to form a shed during the weaving of a seersucker. The tension of the puckering warp yarns is maintained on a level below that of the tension of the ground warp yarns. The puckering warp yarns are slackened positively at least during a slackening period from a shed closing operation to a beating-up operating of every turn of the main shaft of the seersucker loom so that the tension of the puckering warp yarns are reduced to a value which below a predetermined tension of the yarns during a period other than during the slackening period. This enables the loom to slacken portions of the puckering warp yarns near the cloth fell sufficiently during the beating-up operation so that the puckering warp yarns are satisfactorily puckered.

  • Patent number: 4858235
Abstract: In an information storage apparatus having an error-correcting code, wherein digital information and check symbols are stored in groups of codewords which are divided into blocks of equal size and a synchronization field for data synchronization is added to each block, a detector detects errors in consecutive synchronization fields when the digital information is read, and a flag-setting circuit sets dropout flags when a signal from the detector indicates an error in consecutive synchronization fields. The flags are set from the last synchronization field that is correctly detected before the error up to the first synchronization field that is correctly detected after the error. In decoding the codewords, the errors in them are corrected with reference to the dropout flags.

  • Patent number: 4856691
Abstract: A new weft yarn is supplied to a predetermined position in case when the weft yarn in a control unit, particularly in a loom, is broken. Conventionally, the supply of the new weft yarn is effected by a weaver. The present invention provides a yarn guide device for positioning, holding, and transferring a yarn to a predetermined position. The yarn in then drawn inside of a guide tube located in a predetermined position, and thereafter the yarn is automatically guided to a required device such as a measuring and storing device for the weft yarn.

  • Patent number: 4774701
Abstract: A recording format on a recording medium comprises a data portion (4) in which a data train should be recorded. The data portion (4) comprises a user data portion (44 and 47), a check data portion (45) and resynchronizing pattern portions (46). The data train is divided into m or 4 code words, each code word being n=148 bytes. The resynchronizing pattern portions (46) are added to the data train for every m.times.3=12 bytes of data to be recorded, and serves to recover data synchronization in the event that data synchronization is missed. Each code word having a check data portion (45) is capable of correcting errors of T bytes, and errors generated in each code word by missing of data synchronization can be corrected.

  • Patent number: 4735237
Abstract: A multi-nozzle weft insertion device is described having a group of independent nozzles, each nozzle corresponding to the weft to be inserted and having a jet orifice, wherein the jet orifices in a bundle point to a weft-path. The device includes a guide tube which has a diameter substantially equal to or somewhat larger than the diameter of the bundle of the jet orifices and is placed opposite the jet orifices; and partitions which extend at least within the inner circumferential area of the guide tube and which are disposed opposite openings formed between the jet orifices, in order to separate the wefts and guide them into the weft-path without contact.

  • Patent number: 4691745
Abstract: A multi-nozzle weft insertion device which includes a weft guide which uses the hydrodynamic principles of fluid flow around a streamlined object to direct wefts from plural nozzles into a channel which can be centrally located with respect to the nozzles. The wefts are pulled along the contour of the guide, which is streamlined toward the channel, by a flow of high pressure air. The wefts can be kept from becoming entangled by adding a partition wing between the nozzles. If the channel is not centrally located each weft can be made to approach the channel by moving a different distance and from a different angle by varying the shape of the guide associated therewith. Both horizontal and vertical deflection of the weft can be controlled by shape.
