Patent number: 7397303Abstract: A vacuum tube circuit is capable of amplifying an input signal with use of a low source voltage. Ordinarily, the amount of electrons released from a cathode which is heated by a heater is small since a voltage supplied to the heater is low. In the vacuum tube circuit disclosed here, a positive voltage is supplied to a grid terminal, which more effectively attracts the emitted electrons, thereby increasing the amount of electrons arriving at the plate terminal passing through the grid. As a result, a grid current and a plate current flow in the vacuum tube circuit, which achieves an operation for amplifying an input signal from a signal source.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 2003Date of Patent: July 8, 2008Assignee: Korg, Inc.Inventor: Fumio Mieda

Patent number: 7227962Abstract: Provides a one-terminal effector having an input terminal and an output terminal structured as one terminal by providing a circuit that makes input and output of the effector common. The one-terminal effector can avoid complex cable wiring, and can prevent degradation of sound quality. The one-terminal effector includes one input/output terminal, and an effector circuit that executes a predetermined processing on an analog audio signal that is input from the input/output terminal, and outputs the processed analog audio signal from the input/output terminal. The one-terminal effector further includes an input/output signal conversion circuit that converts the input signal and the output signal into mutually different signal forms of voltage signals or current signals.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 2002Date of Patent: June 5, 2007Assignee: Korg Inc.Inventors: Fumio Mieda, Yasuhiko Mori
