  • Patent number: 7080999
Abstract: Deflection spaces for allowing the deflection of male terminals are formed respectively in those portions of a connector housing of a male connector disposed near respectively to proximal end portions of the male terminals. A thinned portion is formed at that portion of each male terminal (of the male connector) disposed in the deflection space, and this thinned portion is smaller in thickness than its connection portion for connection to a female terminal. During the fitting of the connectors, the thinned portions of the male terminals are deflected within the deflection spaces, and therefore strains of various portions of the connectors, developing during the fitting of the connectors due to a positional error and a mounting error of upper and lower printed circuit boards, can be absorbed.

  • Patent number: 7014490
Abstract: A USB connector includes a receptacle which includes a receptacle shell and a receptacle terminal; a plug which includes a plug shell for fitting into the receptacle shell and a plug terminal; and an engagement release member which is provided on the plug shell so as to be movable between an engagement releasing position and an engagement position. When the plug is fitted into the receptacle, the plug terminal is electrically connected to the receptacle terminal. The plug shell has a retaining portion. The receptacle shell has an engagement portion which is engaged with the retaining portion when the plug is fitted into the receptacle. The engagement release member maintains an engagement of the retaining portion with the engagement portion at the engagement position. The engagement release member releases the engagement of the retaining portion with the engagement portion at the engagement releasing position.

  • Patent number: 6475024
Abstract: A cable connector comprises a plurality of female contacts 20 which are arrayed and held in a lateral direction inside an insulating housing 10, and a cable consisting of a plurality of conductors, the front ends of which are connected to said contacts and the rear ends of which extend externally from said housing. Here, the cable consisting of a plurality of conductors is an FPC cable 50 wherein a plurality of signal conducting layers 51 are formed on one face thereof and a ground conducting layer is formed on the other face thereof. The cable connector is constituted by connecting the signal circuit layers 51 to the plurality of female contacts 20, and connecting the ground conducting layer 55 to the shield cover 30 in the housing.

  • Patent number: 5927588
Abstract: A soldering apparatus has a base composed of a base plate and a column fixed on the base plate, a heating device vertically movably mounted on the column, an operational lever for moving the heating device up and down along the column, and a table horizontally movably provided on the base plate. The heating device includes a heating member with a constant-heat source and a heating head, which is attached to the heating member. The heating head is made of a material which has a high heat conductivity, and it includes a mount portion, a contact portion, and a conductive portion. This mount portion is mounted on the heating member, and the contact portion is to touch a part to be soldered of an object. The conductive portion connects the mount portion with the contact portion and conducts heat which is supplied from the heating member to the mount portion, to the contact portion. The table is movable between a loading position and a soldering position on the base plate.

  • Patent number: 5499927
Abstract: An electrical connector of the zipper type comprises first and second connector members with respective rows of contact elements and insulating elements which are brought into intermeshing relation when the connector members are closed together. The contact elements are located in a mold as stamped and formed contact strips and in-molded with a carrier of resilient insulating material, which also covers one side of each contact element in insulating relation, to provide an elongate connector member which can be handled as only a single piece.

  • Patent number: 4668314
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a small electronic device includes intermittently feeding predetermined length of a base film, which forms a film strip; arranging electronic elements, e.g., a film-like liquid crystal display cell, a film-like solar cell and a printed circuit board, on a predetermined region of the film strip; arranging a frame on the film strip, so that the frame surrounds the electronic elements; depositing an adhesive onto the film strip; placing a panel on the film strip; moving press means on the panel from one end of the panel to the other end thereof, thereby pressing the panel and bonding the same to the film strip; and cutting the film, thereby forming a semifinished product. This method further includes detecting the position of the periphery of the semifinished product and trimming unfinished portions with a laser beam, thereby forming a finished product of a prescribed shape and size.
