  • Publication number: 20120218400
Abstract: A microscopic image pickup apparatus for acquiring images of specimens on slide glass samples includes a slide holder pickup section by which the whole image of a slide holder on which a plurality of slide glass samples are arrayed is acquired, a slide glass sample macro-pickup section by which whole images of the slide glass samples are acquired, a slide glass sample micro-pickup section by which micro images of specimen areas of the slide glass samples are acquired under predetermined imaging conditions, and an imaging process control section generating a slide glass sample information management screen. The slide glass sample information management screen is displayed such that the array of display areas for displaying imaging conditions-setting means for setting imaging conditions and for displaying whole images of slide glass samples is paralleled with the array of slide glass samples on a slide holder.

  • Patent number: 4967873
Abstract: In an acoustic lens apparatus of this invention, a lens surface formed on an ultarsonic medium has a longitudinal wave lens portion constituted by a first aspherical surface at its central area, and a transverse wave lens portion constituted by a second aspherical surface at its peripheral area. The ultrasonic medium includes a piezoelectric transducer for generating ultrasonic waves at its surface opposite to the lens surface. The ultrasonic medium is arranged so that the lens surface opposes a sample, a coupler medium is filled in the gap between the surface and the sample.

  • Patent number: 4881618
Abstract: An acoustic lens for use in an acoustic microscope including a solid state medium for propagating an acoustic wave having a wavelength .lambda. and having opposed end surfaces, an electric-acoustic transducer applied on one end surface of the solid state medium and having a radius a, and a spherical lens portion formed in the other end surface of the solid state medium and having an aperture of a radius w. The length l and the aperture radius w are normalized by the transducer radius a such that Z=l.lambda./a.sup.2 and W=w/a. Values of Z and W are selected from such a region in a first quadrant of the Z-W coordinate system that desired power and/or phase are obtained. The region neighboring the point Z=1 and W=1 is excluded.

  • Patent number: 4826319
Abstract: A coherent laser light flux is projected into a cell made of transparent quartz and light scattered from particles suspended in an antigen-antibody reaction liquid contained in the cell is detected by a photomultiplier by means of a collimator. An output electrical signal from the photomultiplier is sampled at different time instances and samplings are supplied to a fast Fourier transformer to derive a plurality of power spectrum desnities of fluctuation in intensity of the scattered light. A plurality of power spectrum densities are averaged to generate a mean power spectrum density. An amount of antigen contained in the reaction liquid is measured in accordance with the mean power spectrum density.

  • Patent number: 4726229
Abstract: A microscope having an optical head and an additional head is disclosed. A slide plate on which the additional head and optical head are arranged in such a manner that they are separated by a predetermined spacing in the Y direction is slidably secured to an arm of the microscope. Under such a construction, an observation by a raster image and an optical observation by a optical image can be performed precisely for the same region of a specimen by moving the additional head and optical head integrally by a distance substantially equal to the spacing by means of the slide plate.

  • Patent number: 4706185
Abstract: An apparatus for displaying ultrasonic images picked-up by an ultrasonic microscope including a digital scan converter having three image memories for storing successively picked-up three ultrasonic images. The digital scan converter functions to reconstruct a color image from the three ultrasonic images by simultaneously reading ultrasonic image signals out of the image memories as red, green and blue color signals.
