Patent number: 11144428Abstract: An apparatus includes a memory and a processor, where the processor includes a performance counter that stores performance data for the processor. The apparatus store plural groups of calculation instructions in the memory. The apparatus calculates a first execution result by executing, based on the performance data obtained from the performance counter, each calculation instruction included in a first group of calculation instructions, and selects a second group of calculation instructions to be executed next, from among the plural groups of calculation instructions, based on the calculated first execution result.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2018Date of Patent: October 12, 2021Assignee: FUJITSU LIMITEDInventor: Fumitake Abe

Patent number: 9971630Abstract: An information processing apparatus calculates, for each of a plurality of job execution conditions indicating a registration destination queue and a designated degree of parallelism, an estimated start time indicating an estimated time at which execution of a new job starts. The information processing apparatus calculates an execution time of the new job for each of the plurality of degrees of parallelism. The information processing apparatus calculates, for each of the job execution conditions, an estimated end time indicating an estimated time at which execution of the new job ends. The information processing apparatus registers a new job execution request for execution of the new job with the designated degree of parallelism indicated in an earliest job execution condition that gives the earliest execution end time among the job execution conditions, in the registration destination queue indicated in the earliest job execution condition.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2017Date of Patent: May 15, 2018Assignee: FUJITSU LIMITEDInventor: Fumitake Abe

Patent number: 7173721Abstract: A multifunction machine/server system capable of dealing with electronic documents at a higher efficiency and being actualized at low costs, is disclosed. The multifunction machine executes, when given a request for a second kind of process, the requested second kind of process without linkage with the server, and, when given a request for a first kind of process, requests the server to execute the first kind of process. The server incorporates a function of executing the first kind of processes that a plurality of multifunction machines request the server to execute. The multifunction machine/server system is constructed of the thus structured server and the plurality of thus structured multifunction machines.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 1999Date of Patent: February 6, 2007Assignee: Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd.Inventors: Sumitake Kobayashi, Keiji Ishiguro, Ken Murata, Takashi Kawasaki, Fumitake Abe

Patent number: 6292267Abstract: A high-speed network printer apparatus which can be used in common by clients having different communication protocols and which can sort out printing jobs into the order of clients. Printing information is supplied from a client which may be a personal computer or a work station through a connector of the printer apparatus. A LAN interface driver receives the printing information and identifies a communication protocol by which the printing information is transferred. A communication protocol controller receives printing information in accordance with a predetermined protocol. A spooling controller, which is coupled to a storage unit which stores the received printing information, creates a queue for printing jobs. A printer controller reads out from the storage unit the printing information corresponding to a printing job of the highest priority which is designated by the queue, and forms a dot image on the basis of the printing information. A printing mechanism prints the image on paper.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 1997Date of Patent: September 18, 2001Assignee: Fujitsu LimitedInventors: Yoshio Mori, Fumitake Abe, Keiji Ishiguro, Satoru Ueyama, Mari Ito, Toshimi Sato, Yasushi Saitoh, Yasunari Kida
