  • Patent number: 8161390
Abstract: A display apparatus is designed for displaying formation of a network on a screen. The network is composed of a plurality of nodes and is capable of transferring either of musical performance information and an audio signal through communication paths connecting the plurality of the nodes. In the display apparatus, an acquiring section acquires a type of each node and an arrangement of the communication paths arranged among the nodes for transmitting and receiving the musical performance information and the audio signal. An allocating section allocates a display area to each node within the screen according to the acquired type of each node. A drawing section draws a plurality of index images indicating the respective nodes on the screen at the display areas allocated to the respective nodes, and draws lines connecting the displayed index images of the nodes on the screen according to the acquired arrangement of the communication paths.

  • Patent number: 6576824
Abstract: A display 21 for setting atone control parameter is disposed on an operation panel of an electronic musical instrument. Function and subfunction operator groups 23, 24 are arranged in parallel in two rows along a longer side of display 21. Function operator group 23 corresponds to each function in the first hierarchy, and subfunction operator group 24 corresponds to each subfunction in the second hierarchy that is designated for each function in the first hierarchy. Display 21 displays a tone control parameter that is to be set by the operation of a parameter setting operator group 25 and the characters representing each function and each subfunction of the function and subfunction operator groups 23, 24. By operation of each operator group 23, 24, the functions and the subfunctions are switched hierarchy by hierarchy, whereby a desired tone control parameter can be easily set to be a desired value or can be easily changed.

  • Patent number: 5525142
Abstract: An electronic musical instrument includes an ROM which stores tone color parameters for determining musical tone characteristics of musical tone signals. Operating elements are operated to create operation information for controlling the musical tone characteristics on real time basis. A tone generator circuit generates the musical tone signals, based on the cone color parameters read from the ROM and the operation information created by the operating elements. Scene memories and a RAM store the operation information created by the operating elements. The operation information is read from the scene memories or the RAM, in response to an instruction from the operator. The operation formation thus read is supplied to the tone generator circuit.

  • Patent number: 5412154
Abstract: A tone color control apparatus for a musical tone signal producer has a first memory and a second memory. The first memory memorizes plural sets of tone color data for control of each tone color of plural different musical tone signals produced at the musical tone signal producer. The second memory memorizes plural sets of index data for indexing the plural sets of tone color data and also memorizes plural sets of modification data respectively corresponding with each set of index data. A desired set of the memorized index data and the corresponding set of the modification data are simultaneously read out from the second memory under control of tone color selection by a player. The tone color data are also read out from the first memory under control of the read out index data. The read out tone color data are modified based on the read out modification data to be applied to the musical tone signal producer for controlling a tone color of a musical tone signal produced therefrom.

  • Patent number: 5376750
Abstract: In order to deal with a large amount of data and achieve a high-speed data transfer, an electronic musical instrument employs the configuration providing with plural CPUs and one main memory (RAM) so that the memory is accessed by plural CPUs. Herein, each of the CPUs provides a specific data bus, so that each of them can receive and transfer data via the specific data bus. When performing a data transfer between each CPU and memory, a line connection is selectively established between the memory and selected one of the data buses, so that each CPU can easily perform a data transfer by accessing the memory via its data bus.

  • Patent number: 4711148
Abstract: A musical tone generating apparatus of an adapter type to be connected to a host electronic keyboard musical instrument via an information cable for generating musical tone signals in accordance with key information supplied from the host musical instrument. The musical tone generating apparatus comprises switches for designating a fractional key range in the keyboard and generates a musical tone signal only when a key within the designated key range is depressed. A plurality of musical tone generating apparatuses of the same construction as the aforesaid musical tone generating apparatus can be connected in a cascade fashion to a single host electronic keyboard musical instrument.
