Abstract: A lighting device for illuminating operation switches installed on a steering wheel inlcudes a light-emitting diode and an instrument light. The light-emitting diode is turned on by means of a constant-voltage generator which is connected to a power source via a light switch to apply voltage that is less than a predetermined value to said light-emitting diode via a slip ring in response to turning ON of the light switch. The instrument light is connected to the power source via the light switch and is turned on in response to turning ON of the light switch.

Abstract: A steering wheel device for an automotive vehicle, comprises a steering shaft arranged in the automotive vehicle, a steering wheel frame fixed to the upper end portion of the steering shaft, a main frame which can move in relation to the steering wheel frame, a steering wheel pad attached to the main frame in such a way that the steering wheel pad can function as a horn switch, the steering wheel pad having a plurality of operation holes, and a plurality of operation switches for controlling an electric device other than the horn switch, the operation switches being fixed at the bottom portion thereof to the steering wheel frame. The top of the operation switches is placed in the corresponding operation holes and apart from the front surface of the steering wheel pad by such a distance that, when the steering wheel pad is pushed to actuate the horn switch, the top of the operation switches does not protrude from the front surface of the steering wheel pad.

Abstract: First and second post members are protrusively provided on a support wall to form therebetween a space for receiving therein a wire harness. A retaining member has an elongated strip portion and a pin portion projecting from the strip portion. The retaining member pin portion is inserted into a bore formed in the first post member and is retained therewithin by means of a tubular clip member. The retaining member strip portion is rotatable about the pin portion to assume a first operative position where it longitudinally extends between the first and second post members to obstruct the path for access to the space and a second operative position where it opens the path for access to the space. There is provided means for releasably locking the strip portion in the first operative position thereof.
