Abstract: The present invention discloses a tripod, comprising a base; three legs pivotally provided around the base, each comprising a first tube and a second tube, which is telescopically assembled inside the first tube; first lock mechanisms disposed between the first tube and the second tube of each leg and locking the second tube relative to the first tube to prevent the telescopic movement of the second tube relative to the first tube; three groups of transmission chains, each extending from the base into each leg and coupled with the corresponding first lock mechanism to drive the corresponding first lock mechanism to lock or unlock the second tube; and an actuating mechanism, disposed in the base and synchronously coupled with the three groups of transmission chains to actuate them. The legs of a tripod provided by the present invention may be synchronously and quickly locked and thereby the tripod may be unfolded quickly.
