  • Patent number: 10891928
Abstract: In accordance with implementations of the subject matter described herein, there is provided a solution for supporting a machine to automatically generate a song. In this solution, an input from a user is used to determine a creation intention of the user with respect to a song to be generated. Lyrics of the song are generated based on the creation intention. Then, a template for the song is generated based at least in part on the lyrics. The template indicates a melody matching with the lyrics. In this way, it is feasible to automatically create the melody and lyrics which not only conform to the creation intention of the user but also match with each other.

  • Patent number: 10699078
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing a comments-centered news reader. Configurations allow live comments to be presented along with the news or similar website content. While a user scrolls up and down in a browser presenting a news article on the user's computer device (e.g., mobile device), linked comments are shown in a selected region. The displayed comments automatically change to adapt to what parts (paragraphs, sentences) of the news article that user is currently reading. At the same time, users can publish their own comments without having to proceed to a separate section of the browser, thus saving the viewer actions and improving the user's experience. The user's system or a remote server records the comments along with the article or the place users are in the article when the comment was entered.

  • Publication number: 20140006012
Abstract: Techniques described enable answering a natural language question using machine learning-based methods to gather and analyze evidence from web searches. A received natural language question is analyzed to extract query units and to determine a question type, answer type, and/or lexical answer type using rules-based heuristics and/or machine learning trained classifiers. Query generation templates are employed to generate a plurality of ranked queries to be used to gather evidence to determine the answer to the natural language question. Candidate answers are extracted from the results based on the answer type and/or lexical answer type, and ranked using a ranker previously trained offline. Confidence levels are calculated for the candidate answers and top answer(s) may be provided to the user if the confidence levels of the top answer(s) surpass a threshold.
