    Abstract: A logical volume (VOL) is provided from a storage system to a host system of a service user. A data volume reduction process is applied to data stored in the VOL. A management system determines whether at least one of a provided total capacity (provided to the service users) and a user used total volume (prior to the data volume reduction process) exceeds a storage volume capacity (upper limit of capacity of a storage space for the service provider). If so, a billing amount is calculated based on at least one amount among a first excess capacity (the difference between the user used total volume and the storage volume), a second excess capacity (the difference between the provided total capacity and the storage volume), and an amount corresponding to the service user defined as relating to at least one of the first excess capacity and the second excess capacity.

A first virtual I/O link associated with a first boot image is mapped to the first computer system, the first boot image being associated with a first I/O device mounted in the I/O module. An I/O switch in the I/O module is caused to connect the first virtual I/O link to the first computer system.     Abstract: In a data center architecture or the like, the present invention provides a method for setting up hosting environments concurrently by loading a boot image by means of network boot or the like, allowing for fast booting even with a large boot image, while preserving security. A boot image is divided into a plurality of parts. Computer resources have their public keys stored in their BIOS ROMs and e-signatures are attached to the boot image parts with a private key corresponding to one of the public keys. Also, priority levels in e-signature verification are assigned to the boot image parts. A boot instruction includes priority level setting. Only for boot image parts with that priority level or higher, e-signature verification is performed. By this manner, booting can be performed faster than booting involving verification of the e-signature to a whole boot image.
