    Abstract: The disclosure relates to the field of agricultural biotechnology, and specifically relates to a Zm00001d029550 gene for regulating oil content of maize kernels and an application thereof. In the disclosure, temperate maize inbred line Ye107 with a lower kernel oil content is used as a common parent, which is crossed with 5 tropical and subtropical maize inbred lines that have higher kernel oil contents, to construct a maize multi-parent population with significantly different kernel oil contents. Genome-wide association study (GWAS) analysis and genetic linkage analysis are utilized to jointly locate SNP_75791466 which is on chromosome 1 and significantly associated with kernel oil content, and functional gene Zm00001d029550 that regulates kernel oil content is further identified. The results of the disclosure help to further study a regulatory mechanism of oil content of maize kernels, and also provide technical support for breeding of maize varieties with high quality and high oil content.

Specifically, an application of a gene related to starch content of maize kernels in molecular marker-assisted breeding of maize is provided in the disclosure. A sequence of the Zm00001d012005 gene is as shown in SEQ ID NO: 1. In the disclosure, genome-wide association study (GWAS) analysis and genetic linkage analysis are utilized to co-localize SNP_166371888 which is on chromosome 8 and significantly associated with kernel starch content, and a functional gene Zm00001d012005 that regulates the kernel starch content is further identified. The gene Zm00001d012005 can explain 10.19% of phenotypic variation in the kernel starch content.

    Abstract: A method for enhancing induction efficiency of corn haploid is disclosed, which belongs to the technical field of genetics. In the method disclosed by the disclosure, the tropical induction line is used as a female parent, the temperate induction line is used as a male parent, hybrid seeds among the temperate and tropical induction lines are generated by hybridizing and assembling, the hybrid vigor among the temperate and tropical induction is used for improving the agronomy and yield traits of the conventional induction line, so that the requirements of the corn haploid induction line as the male parent on plant height, pollen quantity, fertility period and the like are met, which has important significance for large-scale popularization and application of the corn double haploid (DH) technology.
