  • Publication number: 20110147073
Abstract: An electromagnetic radiation absorber is made up of a composite of base material and filler. The base material is formed of high permittivity dielectric material and formed in a cubic shape. The filler is formed of high magnetic permeability material and fills in long holes formed inside the base material in three directions. In the composite, the high permittivity dielectric material and the high magnetic permeability material are arranged in a three-dimensionally continuous manner. Accordingly, a thinned and light-weighted electromagnetic radiation absorber and a method for absorbing electromagnetic radiation are provided which have a high electromagnetic radiation absorbing property with respect to electromagnetic radiation of wide band including electromagnetic radiation of low frequency.

  • Publication number: 20100247857
Abstract: The sound-permeable member 18 includes a waterproof sound-permeable membrane 1 that allows sound to pass therethrough and blocks liquid from passing therethrough and a main body 8 having an opening 8p for passing sound. The opening 8p is closed by the waterproof sound-permeable membrane 1. The waterproof sound-permeable membrane 1 is fixed to the main body 8 in a slack state. A polytetrafluoroethylene porous membrane and a porous ultrahigh-molecular weight polyethylene membrane preferably can be used as the waterproof sound-permeable membrane 1.

  • Patent number: 7494715
Abstract: A steel plate reinforcing sheet that can reduce distortions of the steel plate without reducing its reinforcing property and can also prevent abrupt deformations at end portions thereof with respect to a direction extending along a curving direction of a curved steel plate. The steel reinforcing sheet features a generally rectangular shape, as defined by a length and a width, and two end portions on either side of an imaginary line which bisects the length of the steel plate reinforcing sheet. The steel plate reinforcing sheet is a laminate including a restricting layer and a reinforcing layer, wherein each end portion of the restricting layer includes at least one slit. Each slit extends directly or indirectly across the entire width of the steel plate reinforcing sheet, and the two slits closest to the imaginary line define a minimum distance between slits.

  • Patent number: 7336373
Abstract: In order to provide a surface shape measuring apparatus and a surface shape measuring method capable of detecting a distortion on the curved surface of a work precisely, a laser displacement meter 17 disposed to the outside surface of a door panel 51 of a curved shape at a confronting position, a Z-axis servo motor 24 to move the laser displacement meter 17 along the top-and-bottom direction with respect to the outside surface of the door panel 51, an X-axis servo motor 22 to move the laser displacement meter 17 along the left-and-right direction, and a Y-axis servo motor 26 to move the laser displacement meter 17 along an confronting direction in which the laser displacement meter 17 and the outside surface of the door panel 51 oppose each other, are provided, and a CPU 21 controls the Y-axis servo motor 26 in such a manner that a constant distance is maintained in the confronting direction between the laser displacement meter 17 and the outside surface of the door panel 51.

Abstract: A steel plate reinforcing sheet that can reduce distortions of the steel plate without reducing its reinforcing property and can also prevent abrupt deformations at end portions thereof with respect to a direction extending along a curving direction of a curved steel plate. The steel plate reinforcing sheet 1 comprising a restricting layer 2 and a reinforcing layer 3, wherein slits 4 are formed in both end portions of the restricting layer 2 to extend over an entire length of the restricting layer 2 with respect to a direction substantially orthogonal to a direction in which the both end portions confront each other and also arranged so that a length defined between the slits 4 can be 40% or more of a total length of the steel plate reinforcing sheet 1 with respect to a direction parallel to the length between the slits 4.

  • Patent number: 5583320
Abstract: A reinforcement for a flexible printed circuit board, which can sufficiently prevent the flexible printed circuit board thus reinforced from being warped when heated during the assembly process of electronic components or other procedures. The reinforcement according to the present invention is used to adhere to a flexible printed circuit board 1. The reinforcement according to the present invention comprises an internal material 21 having a bending neutral surface at the center of the thickness thereof, and an external material 22 having the same Young's modulus as that of an insulating substrate 11 of the flexible printed circuit board 1, bonded to one side of the internal material 21. The other side of the internal material 21 acts as an adhesive surface to the flexible printed circuit board 1.
