  • Patent number: 11911460
Abstract: A lipid delivery system, a virus-like structure (VLS) vaccine constructed therefrom, and a lipid particle capable of encapsulating an mRNA molecule encoding a SARS-CoV-2-specific antigen are provided. After the lipid particle encapsulates an mRNA molecule encoding a SARS-CoV-2 antigen, a SARS-CoV-2 S1 antigen protein can be embedded on a surface of an envelope structure of the lipid under specific buffer conditions to produce a VLS vaccine with an antigen-encoding mRNA molecule encapsulated inside and an outer membrane presenting a required viral antigen protein. The vaccine has a superior specific antibody-inducing ability to a SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccine and a polypeptide vaccine, can maintain a long-lasting high antibody level, and can also exhibit excellent immune binding abilities for the emerging different variants.

  • Publication number: 20230258360
Abstract: The invention relates to a multi-component air conditioning apparatus that provides variable cooling capacities. The apparatus can include a main cooling unit and a heat rejection unit. Air can be treated both sensibly and adiabatically. By controlling the flow and volume of water, the apparatus can condition air to variable temperatures. This allows greater variability of capacity and temperature control.

  • Publication number: 20220252284
Abstract: The invention relates to a multi-unit air conditioning system that conditions ambient air below the wet bulb temperature without the use of a mechanical vapor compression system. The system includes two or more individual units. Each unit can include a heat exchanger and evaporative porous media. By varying output of one or more cooling units and controlling water circulation, the system can condition air to variable temperatures. The system can produce a stratified air flow, whereby layers or pockets of air with discernable dry bulb temperatures and/or humidity remain intact. This can improve efficiency of the system and thermal comfort.

  • Patent number: 10928090
Abstract: The present invention relates to a multi-component air-conditioning systems configuration, control and operation. The structure comprises an environmental sensor, a controlling chip, and a plurality of unique cooling components, wherein the cooling components are activated or inactivated according to a most efficient operating mode. Said most efficient operating mode is determined depends on the plurality of environmental parameters sensed by the environmental sensor in order to deliver an effective and efficient temperature reduction.

  • Patent number: 10883738
Abstract: An apparatus (100) is disclosed, which comprises a fluid storage device (104) for holding a volume of coolant; a cooling device (106) having a heat exchanger (108) and a first evaporative media (110) arranged in fluid communication with the fluid storage device, the cooling device configured to enable air to be passed therethrough; and a heat rejection device (112) having a second evaporative media (114) arranged in fluid communication with the fluid storage device and the heat exchanger. The apparatus is operable between at least first and second modes for lowering temperature of the air, in which in the first mode, only the first evaporative media is operatively activated to use the coolant to cool the air to a first temperature, and in the second mode, the first and second evaporative media and the heat exchanger are collectively activated to use the coolant to cool the air to a second temperature being lower than the first temperature.

  • Publication number: 20200149756
Abstract: The invention relates to a multi-component air conditioning system that cools air below the pre-treatment wet bulb temperature without the use of a mechanical vapor compression system. A heat exchanger cools air followed by an evaporative cooling process that further cools the air through the vaporization of water. A heat rejection unit removes warm air from the system and cools water that can be recycled into a reservoir. A chamber separation plate can be moved to adjust the capacities of the cooling unit and the heat rejection unit. The flow of water through the system can also be controlled. This allows greater variability of capacity and temperature control.
