    Abstract: The present invention is a side-mounted position indicator for use with a flapper check valve. The fully adjustable indicator is located outside the valve body and is attached to an internal roller with o-ring seals. This roller has a tripper rod extending from itself with a round non-marring plastic ball on the end. The ball is held in contact with the valve flapper by way of a mechanical spring. An exterior flush port is provided to provide periodic cleaning of the internal mechanism.
