Publication number: 20170027347Abstract: The present invention teaches a bedside table with a disposable hygienic tray which has thereon multiple layers of film. Each layer of film in turn has adhesive, or anti-bacterial compounds, or bacterial detection compounds, or combinations thereof. In use, for example in a hospital, health care setting, home care setting or for home or many other contexts of use, each layer is removed in sequence, exposing a new layer underneath. After a suitable period of usage, the new layer is in turn removed to expose yet another later. When the final layer is removed the disposable tray is removed from the bedside table and replaced with a fresh tray. In embodiments, the core bedside table unit may sit on the floor, mount to a wall rail, or may have a projection dimensioned and configured to pass between the bottom of a mattress and the top of a box spring.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 4, 2016Publication date: February 2, 2017Inventor: Steven Gabor Kovacs

Publication number: 20170002414Abstract: The invention provides an in vitro method for non-invasive preimplantation assessment of an embryo by comprising amplifying and detecting a nucleic acid sequence of interest indicative of a genetic deficiency from a sample taken from the in vitro culture medium of the embryo and assessing the embryo as having a genetic deficiency if the presence of the sequence of interest is detected in the in vitro culture medium of the embryo. The examples show the detection of SNPs relating to the genes MDR1 and prothrombin and the SNP responsible for the Leiden syndrome. The application also mentions the possibility of establishing short tandem repeat (STR) marker profiles of DNA in the culture medium and full genome sequencing of the DNA in the culture medium as a means for determining embryo quality.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 30, 2015Publication date: January 5, 2017Inventors: József BÓDIS, L. Patent number: 8050737Abstract: In a method and apparatus for examination and evaluation of a blood flow in a pulmonary artery of a patient, measurement data are recorded, from which at least a part of the blood flow in the pulmonary artery is able to be re-constructed at least two-dimensionally in a plane defined by a longitudinal axis of the pulmonary artery and by an anterior-posterior direction, including at least at several diastolic points in time in the course of a heart cycle, after a closure of the pulmonary valve. The number of diastolic points for which an asymmetry in relation to the longitudinal axis of the pulmonary artery in the anterior-posterior direction exists is determined. A measure is then determined that characterizes how long, after the closure of the pulmonary valve, the aforementioned asymmetry exists.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 2008Date of Patent: November 1, 2011Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Gabor Kovacs, Horst Olschewski, Gert Reiter, Ursula Reiter, Rainer Kurt Rienmueller

Publication number: 20090294582Abstract: A lighter-than-air aircraft is propelled via a bending-rotating tail whip. Two actuating areas located on opposite sides in a rear area of a lifting gas body are shortened by activated actuators. A vertical plane of symmetry of the lifting gas body and thus, the lifting gas body itself, are pivoted in an area of bending zones about angles a and ?. An activated state exists when the actuator performs work for propelling the aircraft. Propulsion can be provided by deformation of the lifting gas body. Changes in direction can also be effected by asymmetrical sequences of movements.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 7, 2006Publication date: December 3, 2009Inventors: Silvain Michel, Gabor Kovacs, Patrick Lochmatter

Publication number: 20090143667Abstract: In a method and apparatus for examination and evaluation of a human or animal body as regards a blood flow in a pulmonary artery (PA), measurement data are recorded, from which at least a part of the blood flow in the pulmonary artery (PA) is able to be re-constructed at least two-dimensionally in a plane defined by a longitudinal axis of the pulmonary artery (PA) and by an anterior-posterior direction, including at least at several diastolic points in time in the course of a heart cycle, after a closure of the pulmonary valve. The measurement data are analyzed as to how many of the at least several diastolic points in time in the flow behavior of the blood flow of the pulmonary artery an asymmetry in relation to the longitudinal axis of the pulmonary artery in the anterior-posterior direction exists. A measure is then determined that characterizes how long, after the closure of the pulmonary valve in the flow behavior of the blood flow of the pulmonary artery, the aforementioned asymmetry exists.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 1, 2008Publication date: June 4, 2009Inventors: Gabor Kovacs, Horst Olschewski, Gert Reiter, Ursula Reiter, Rainer Kurt Rienmueller
