  • Publication number: 20240101171
Abstract: A digital train brake testing and train preparation assistant uses a system, method, and computer program for determining a component parameter of a train. The system may include sensor nodes mounted to a respective part of the train, wherein the sensor nodes form a sensor network on a rail car, wherein railcars form a wireless mesh network, and wherein each of the sensor nodes is configured to collect data of the component of the respective part of the train and to publish the collected data into the wireless mesh network. The system may further include a server system configured to receive the published data of the wireless mesh network and to determine the component parameter of the train based on the received data. Furthermore, a user device for displaying a component parameter determined by a system, method, and computer program for determining a component parameter of a train is provided.

  • Patent number: 10305731
Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for provisioning cloud services across heterogeneous computing environments. A plurality of provisioning instructions stored on a configuration management server can be partitioned into a plurality of ranges. A plurality of client nodes connected to the configuration management server can be configured into a plurality of groups, each group providing one or more computing environments on one or more virtual machines for hosting a cloud service. Each computing environment in a particular group can be associated with a provisioning instruction launcher that specifies a particular range of provisioning instructions. When a virtual machine in a particular group reboots, the computing environment on the virtual machine searches for the latest provisioning instruction in the range corresponding to the particular group.

  • Patent number: 9191871
Abstract: A method of allocating users to core network nodes of a cellular telecommunications System, where users access the core network via a radio access network and where the nodes of the core network are grouped into a plurality of local pool areas and the local pool areas are further grouped into one or more pool areas, and each local pool area corresponds to a geographic area covered by the access network. The method comprises allocating a user to a core network node of a local pool area corresponding to the geographic area within which the user is located, maintaining the core network node while the user moves within the local pool area, and, in the event that the user moves out of the local pool area but remains in the same pool area, maintaining said allocation at least temporarily.
