  • Publication number: 20170243159
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed that may include recording the commodity, whether in a container or not and optionally placing a readable label on such container, at a first location. The method may include storing recorded data having identifying parameters. Further still, the method may include moving the commodity to another location. Yet further, the method may include iterating, optionally, recording, optionally labeling, and storing additional recorded data having identifying parameters, wherein the recorded data having identifying parameters differs at each location as compared to any prior location where there is recorded data because a portion or the entirety of the recorded data that constitutes “stored data” may be accessed in order to generate and display a report that evidences the tracking of the commodity, regardless whether the tracking is for a process, shipment, transaction, or combination thereof for the commodity undergoing tracked movement.

  • Patent number: 8453392
Abstract: An overhead panel installation system consisting of three components that hold drywall or other panels onto ceiling joists thereby allowing workers to place the panels and let go while they nail or screw the panels to the joists. Component “A” is placed over two top plates of a wall whereby a bent portion of component “A” extends away from the wall and creates a first ledge for a first panel to be held in place. Component “B” is subsequently placed over the end of the secured first panel opposite the wall and creates a second ledge for a second panel to be placed and held. Lastly, component “C” is fitted under a ceiling joist, turned, and locked in place to create a third ledge to further support the second panel. Each of the three components can be simply removed with a twist of the handle.

  • Patent number: 7438802
Abstract: A storm drain filter assembly that filters incoming drainage water and can prevent sediment, debris, and other undesirable materials (such as oil) from entering a storm drain's inlet. The frame can be rotated upwardly away from the road for street sweeping, and can also be detached from the curb and removed to a remote location for cleaning. The filter assembly comprises a filter panel including a bristle filter and a frame that holds the bristle filter, the bristle filter including a plurality of bristles. At least one seal is positioned between the filter panel and the surface to prevent leakage around the edges of the panel. A pivotable mount is provided for holding the filter panel in an operational position in the path of the flowing drainage water. In one embodiment the bristles are made of polypropylene.

  • Publication number: 20080105603
Abstract: A storm drain filter assembly includes a frame and several rows of bristles extending down from a top rail of the frame. The frame can be positioned next to a storm drain with the bristles blocking debris from entering the drain while allowing water to flow into the drain. As the frame is lowered toward the ground in front of the drain, brackets on the back of the frame slide between the storm drain surface and other brackets that have been affixed to the storm drain surface, so that when the frame rests on the ground with the bristles covering the storm drain, it is retained in place by the brackets. The frame assembly can be removed simply by lifting the frame up and away from the storm drain.

  • Patent number: 7208082
Abstract: A storm drain filter including a frame holding a filter assembly to filter incoming drainage water and thereby prevent sediment from entering the storm drain's inlet. The frame can be easily removed and replaced to allow street sweeping. In one embodiment, an erosion control apparatus comprises one or more broom filters each including a plurality of adjacent bristles, and a frame that holds the broom filter(s) so that the bristles extend downwardly to the road surface. In one embodiment, the beam of the broom filter is pivotally connected to the frame, and the bristles have substantially greater than a 90° vertical angle, to allow the weight and flexibility of the bristles to conform to variations in the road surface. A filtration bag to filter hydrocarbons may be attached downstream of the broom filter. The frame can be designed for a wide variety of implementations, and can be re-usable.

  • Publication number: 20060197752
Abstract: A touch sensor method and device are described that allow one or more simultaneous touches to be sensed and mapped to Cartesian coordinates. The device utilizes closely spaced multiple conducting strips to provide digital location of a touch position according to the position strip and analog location along the length of the strip. When the strips are energized individually and in coordinated ways, multiple touches are individually sensed and their positions are reported.

  • Publication number: 20050012644
Abstract: The present inventions are directed to touch sensors with improved topological equivalence between an equipotential space and a Cartesian space to which the equipotential space will be mapped. The touch sensor comprises a substrate with a touch region, and a set of electrodes that are electrically coupled to the touch region. The touch sensor further comprises a plurality of resistive band segments that frames the touch region. The electrodes are located between the resistive band segments. Each resistive band segment has a resistivity that is intermediate between the resistivity of the electrodes and the resistivity of the touch region, thereby providing a transition between the low resistivity electrodes and the high resistivity touch region, and improving the topological equivalence within the corners of the touch region. At least one of the band segments has a non-uniform linear resistance to provide further improvement to the topological equivalence.

  • Patent number: 6594932
Abstract: A display sign mounting system allows quick and easy mounting and tensioning of a display sign. The display sign has a substantially planar surface to which support members are mounted to form a perimeter frame. Bracket assemblies are attached to the support members. The bracket assemblies retain the substrate and allow for selective tensioning of the substrate to create a taut display as desired. A bracket assembly may have rotatable members to facilitate installation of the substrate. The substrate is wound on a spool assembly to facilitate transporting the substrate to and from a display sign location.

  • Patent number: 5566753
Abstract: A stripper/packer for use in a stack at a well head provides horizontal actuation and side access. This configuration enables maintenance of the packer in place. It also provides for the retraction of the packer to a diameter greater than the inside diameter of the packer to permit the withdrawal of coiled tubing with accessories attached. A hydraulically actuated rod has a pusher plate attached at one end with bushings and bushing carriers attached thereto. The bushings and bushing carriers hold a packer element in abutting relation to an energizer which evenly distributes pressure from the pusher plate to the packer element. The bushings and bushing carriers also hold the packer element so that, upon retraction of the rod, the entire assembly is withdrawn from the bore of the stripper/packer.
