  • Patent number: 6193056
Abstract: A conveyor mat for conveying products in a conveying direction between at least two divert wheels. The conveyor mat comprises a number of plastic modules succeeding each other in conveying direction and extending transversely to the conveying direction, which modules, in conveying direction, each have their front and rear sides provided with hinge loops. The hinge loops of modules that succeed each other in conveying direction cooperate and are coupled by means of hinge pins extending transversely to the conveying direction. The top faces of the modules together constitute a conveying face. The modules are each provided with through openings extending substantially transversely to the conveying face, and with a substantially flat top face in which at least one groove, extending in conveying direction, is provided. The modules are coupled so that the conveying face comprises a substantially straight slot extending in conveying direction over the length of the conveyor mat.

  • Patent number: 5996776
Abstract: A plastic module for a conveyor mat, each module comprising on both sides over the entire width a number of equidistant hinge eyes and having a closed bearing surface, the hinge eyes being coupled on a side of a module to those of a module adjoining in the longitudinal direction of the mat by means of a hinge pin. According to the invention a lip-shaped flexible member is provided in the outermost hinge eye of the module includes and extends transversely over the opening for the hinge pin into a part of the hinge eye extended to the longitudinal center of the module, where the lip-shaped member is attached to an end wall of the extended portion. The opposite end wall of the hinge eye is provided with a cam-shaped projection for cooperation with the free end of the lip-shaped member so that this member can be fixed in a position blocking the hinge pin.

  • Patent number: 5425443
Abstract: A conveyor mat built up of plastic intermediate modules and end modules, each module is made up of a plurality of equally spaced-apart hinge plates having hinge loops at the two ends thereof, the hinge plates of a module being coupled to each other by means of a rib asymmetrically located between the hinge loop openings which are located opposite each other, the ends of the hinge plates on a longitudinal side of a module being located between the ends of the hinge plates of a module adjacent in the longitudinal direction of the mat, the hinge loops of the two modules being coupled to each other by way of a hinge pin extending through the hinge loop openings. In operation, when the conveyor mat is driven in a first and second, opposite, direction, a sprocket wheel meshes with a side face of the rib and, respectively, the opposite hinge loop of a module. Through these measures, a conveyor mat is obtained whose modules can have an extremely slight length, up to 0.5".
