  • Publication number: 20190166802
Abstract: A system is described herein that comprises a collar device including a sound masking component, the collar device including one or more collar device sensors for detecting physiological data of an animal. The system includes one or more environmental sensors configured to detect environmental data of the animal's environment and to transmit the environmental data to the collar device. The collar device comprises one or more applications running on at least one processor for detecting an occurrence of one or more events using at least one of the physiological data, the environmental data, and outcome data. The one or more applications are configured to use information of the one or more events to select a sound masking signal for delivery after the occurrence of the one or more events The system includes a sound masking component for delivering the sound masking signal.

  • Patent number: 8460789
Abstract: A disposable protective barrier for a foot-receiving surface of a platform scale or other similar device. The barrier is typically rectangular or square and formed from paper or a paper composite. The upper surface of the barrier may bear indicia, either decorative or functional, for example indicia indicating proper foot placement on the scale. The protective barriers may be packaged in pads using a “low-tack”, reusable, pressure sensitive adhesive positioned on the lower surface of the protective barrier such that it engages a portion of the upper surface of the platform scale thereby preventing slippage of the disposable protective barrier. The paper or other material from which the barrier may be formed may also be treated with a germicide, antifungal, or some other protective substances to further protect the feet of persons placing their feet on the barrier. In other embodiments, a fragrance component may be added to the barrier.

  • Publication number: 20100193555
Abstract: A carrier for elongated cargos, especially recreational cargos such as canoes, kayaks, long wind resistant loads, surf or paddle boards, etc. suitable for use on automobiles having a trunk-mounted, adjustable height support for supporting the rear portion of the elongated cargo in cooperation with a traditional roof mounted cargo rack on the top of the automobile. The trunk-mounted support may be height adjustable to ensure universal compatibility with different automobiles and with various roof-top carriers. The height adjustability feature also helps position the elongated cargo at an angle to control aerodynamic effects to help ensure the stability of the elongated cargo on the support system, even at highway speeds. The trunk-mounted support design eliminates the need for a bumper or trailer hitch attachment, such bumper attachments being impossible on many modern automobiles. The trunk-mounted support is both easy to install and to adjust.
