  • Publication number: 20240111578
Abstract: A method for hierarchical work scheduling includes consuming a work item at a first scheduling domain having a local scheduler circuit and one or more workgroup processing elements. Consuming the work item produces a set of new work items. Subsequently, the local scheduler circuit distributes at least one new work item of the set of new work items to be executed locally at the first scheduling domain. If the local scheduler circuit of the first scheduling domain determines that the set of new work items includes one or more work items that would overload the first scheduling domain with work if scheduled for local execution, those work items are distributed to the next higher-level scheduler circuit in a scheduling domain hierarchy for redistribution to one or more other scheduling domains.

  • Patent number: 11946702
Abstract: A nuclear reactor includes a heat exchanger that transfers thermal energy from a primary reactor coolant to a secondary coolant. The heat exchanger is formed with a hot flow channel, a cold flow channel, and a porous layer between the hot flow channel and the cold flow channel. The porous layer may be thermally insulative to reduce the efficiency of thermal energy transfer from the hot flow channel to the cold flow channel. The porous layer may have a control gas passed therethrough that can be tailored to control the thermal energy transfer through the porous layer. The control gas can be tested for leakage within the heat exchanger. The control gas may also be used to sequester fission or activation products.

  • Patent number: 11750238
Abstract: A mobile device case having a case body having a cavity configured to receive a mobile device, a plurality of sound channels nested within the case body and a cavity wall associated with the case body, wherein the cavity wall is configured to form a sound chamber within the cavity, wherein the sound chamber is in sound communication with a speaker of the mobile device and the plurality of sound channels, thus allowing sound emitted from the speaker of the mobile device to be guided to the plurality of sound channels. An advantage of the mobile device case is that the plurality of sound channels nested within the case may redirect sound from speakers on the device to allow sound to escape out of the front and back of the mobile device case, thus redirecting sound to a device user and preventing the mobile device case from muffling the sound.

  • Patent number: 11449833
Abstract: A system and method scan a document printed by a first document processing device (using a second document processing device separate from the first document processing device). The document has printed thereon machine readable markings that comprise information of a patient, information of at least one lab test to be performed, and formatting information for the return of the lab test results. The second document processing device identifies the lab test to be performed on the patient based on the machine readable markings. After the lab tests have been performed on the patient, the second document processing device prepares the lab test results by formatting them. These formatted lab test results are then output from the second document processing device to the first document processing device.

  • Patent number: 11328330
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for processing invoices from overseas vendors and overseas carriers. The methods and systems retrieve (e.g., using various APIs) and rely on current data from the most accurate or up-to-date sources of such data, and then store the data in a single location as a “single source of truth” for invoice data. As a result, errors and time for processing overseas invoices are reduced because accurate data is more readily and promptly available for reconciling discrepancies and paying the invoices.
