  • Patent number: 8287035
Abstract: A frame structure is provided for the underbody of a self-supporting motor vehicle bodywork. The frame structure includes, but not included with an elongate tunnel and two sillboards parallel hereto. The sillboards are disposed on both sides of the tunnel. The frame structure also includes, but is not limited to a dashboard cowl with closing plate, which is connected directly to both sillboards and the tunnel, a wheel housing with a downwardly open main structural arc, the ends whereof are connected to the underbody, and on its side facing the underbody (e.g., the vehicle inner side) the main structural arc has a damper receptacle in its upper area, from which a supporting strut connected to the underbody projects downward.

  • Patent number: 8020877
Abstract: A self-centering chuck is provided for accurately fixing the position of workpieces on tables. The chuck has a basic body with guide grooves, a threaded spindle with right-handed and left-handed external threads and a centrally arranged groove, two slides screwed onto an external thread each with a clamping jaw each in the head area and with sliding blocks in the foot area. The slides are guided axially in the guide grooves and on the threaded spindle. The threaded spindle is centered in a central piece and can be fixed and locked on the basic body and on the central piece by fastening means guided in the groove. The clamping jaws arranged on the head side on the slides have clamping surfaces on both sides and can be used on both sides. The slides can be screwed on both sides onto left-handed and right-handed external threads of the threaded spindle.

  • Patent number: 7708854
Abstract: Explained, inter alia, is a method in which a workpiece (52) to be processed is fastened to a work carrier (10) by means of a solid (62). The work carrier (10) is made of a porous material, e.g. of porous ceramic. This processing method permits simple manipulation of the wafer during the processing. In addition, the workpiece (52) can be easily separated from the work carrier (10) using a solvent.

  • Patent number: 6799757
Abstract: A workpiece can be clamped between the jaws of a vise in a defined position easily when it is supported by positioning pins. They are located in a plurality of bores in the jaw and can be projected out of the jaw in operation. The pins comprise a pin body and a stop member. Both elements provide a shape which allows an economical production and easy connection with each other. In normal operation the pins can be projected out of the jaw by fluid pressure and be pushed back manually. A bent pin can be pushed or pulled to the front out of the jaw easily by destroying the stop member in a predetermined way or separating it from the pin body.

  • Patent number: 6530567
Abstract: A clamping device for work piece(s) having at least one clamping surface and coupling elements on the clamping surface. The clamping device comprises a first clamping element having a contact surface and a plurality of form-fit elements and a second clamping element having a contact surface and a plurality of form-fit elements. The plurality of form-fit elements have a shape that complements that of the coupling elements. The distance between the contact surfaces are adjusted by a retaining device which is coupled to surfaces of the clamping elements.

  • Patent number: 6474914
Abstract: A tool-driving device (1), which is particularly provided for machine tools, has an internal drive (9), which serves to drive a tool. Also provided is a control device (36), which detects the movement of the tool-driving device (1) and correspondingly controls its drive (9). The tool-driving device (1) can thus be controlled independently of the other tool-machine controls.

  • Patent number: 6162425
Abstract: The composition for permanent shaping of hair contains, as keratin-reducing agent, a compound of the formula (I): ##STR1## or a salt thereof, wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 each represent, independently of each other, H, a straight or branched chain alkyl or hydroxy alkyl group, with 1 to 3 carbon atoms or a carboxyl group, with the proviso that at least one of the R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 groups is not H, n and m are whole numbers from 1 to 3 and X is a bivalent group --O--, --CR.sub.5 R.sub.6 -- or --NR.sub.7 --, in which R.sub.5, R.sub.6 and R.sub.7 are each, independently of each other, H or straight chain or branched chain alkyl groups or hydroxyalkyl groups with 1 to 3 carbon atoms or carboxyl groups. New mercaptoacetamide compounds and methods of making them are also described. The composition for permanent shaping provides a safe and uniform shaping of hair without allergic and sensitizing reactions; it has a skin and hair safe pH range of 6.5 to 9.5.
