  • Publication number: 20040114797
Abstract: A method for automatic determination of color-density correction values for the reproduction of digital image data, wherein image color-density values of the digital image data are determined at least by area, and are compared with corresponding, known reproduction color-density values. For better results, eye scleras are identified within the image data, and image color-density values are determined from them.

  • Publication number: 20030044063
Abstract: A method for processing digital photographic image data includes a method for the automatic detection of red-eye defects. Before the image data are subjected to an elaborate process for the detection of red-eye defects, exclusion criteria are analyzed in the course of an exclusion process, whereby the criteria provide the information to definitively rule out the occurrence of red-eye defects. The red-eye detection process is not carried out if such exclusion criteria are fulfilled.

  • Publication number: 20030044070
Abstract: In a method for the automatic detection of red-eye defects in photographic image data, one processing stage comprises an object recognition process that finds faces in image data based on density progressions that are typical for such faces.
