  • Patent number: 7822294
Abstract: In a method for producing three-dimensionally structured surfaces of objects as a reproduction of an original surface, the topology of the original surface is determined, and the data are used for controlling a machining tool. The determined topology and a random topology of a reproduction surface are brought closer to one another via a series of proximity comparisons until all items of height information of the reproduction surface are successively replaced by items of height information from the original surface, and that once an established similarity between the topologies of the reproduction surface and the original surface is obtained, the items of height information of the reproduction surface are provided for controlling the machine tool serving to machine the surface of the object.

  • Patent number: 6913728
Abstract: A method is provided for producing a molded part that is deep drawn from a thermoplastic foil. An outer surface of the thermoplastic foil is provided with a positive depth structure, under the effect of heat and pressure, by means of a stamping or embossing roller that has a negative depth structure. In at least one extent of a surface of the embossing roller, the negative depth structure of the roller is compressed in such surface regions thereof that effect a stretching of the foil during deep drawing. Subsequently, at least a portion of the foil is deep drawn.

  • Publication number: 20040134588
Abstract: A method for producing a molded body firmly bonded to a grained molded skin by inserting a spatially conformed, elastic skin having a graining or structuring on the inside into a receiving mold open on one side of a tool bottom part. A liquid plastic film that forms the molded skin after hardening is then applied to the grained inside of the elastic skin. The molded skin is then back-foamed, the foamed plastic firmly bonding with the molded skin. Subsequently, the entire assembly of elastic skin, molded skin, and molded body is removed from the receiving mold of the tool bottom part. Finally, the elastic skin is stripped away from the molded skin that is firmly bonded to the molded body, a graining or structuring remaining on the surface of the molded skin.

  • Publication number: 20020124954
Abstract: Method for producing an embossing roller from silicone rubber for the continuous embossing of the surface of a thermoplastic film, with the embossing surface having a negative form of a surface structure to be embossed. An auxiliary roller is provided which is plastic, at least in the region of its circumferential surface. A laser beam is directed onto the circumferential surface and controlled for defining a real imaginary pattern in such a way that a surface structure of the pattern is created as a positive form on the surface. A layer of silicone rubber provided on the surface produces an embossing matrix which is pulled off the surface, turned inside out, and adhered to a surface of an embossing roller, with the negatively structured embossing surface facing outward. Thus, multiple embossing matrices can be created after a one-time structuring of the surface of an auxiliary roller, using a casting process.

  • Patent number: 5759473
Abstract: Process for producing a silicone coated embossing roll for continuously embossing the surface of thermoplastic film. A laser beam is used to cut into the smooth silicone rubber surface of the roll, a pattern or design which replicates a negative of a leather grain, for example. The intensity of the laser beam and its movement is controlled by a signal generated by scanning the original leather grain. This process permits a simple and inexpensive way to produce an embossed structure in the silicone surface of an embossing roll, even when the structure to be repeated is extremely fine. No tedious manual steps are necessary to achieve the most natural possible reproduction in embossing.

  • Patent number: 5750618
Abstract: Latices based on conjugated dienes are produced using emulsion polymerization by introducing the monomers to be polymerized into the initially introduced seed latex in the presence of a free-radical forming activator and an emulsifier in such a manner that the ratio of the monomer polymerization rate to the monomer feed rate is less than 0.7:1 and by performing polymerization up to a monomer conversion of .gtoreq.95% at temperatures of 10 to 85.degree. C., wherein the addition of the emulsifier is controlled in such a manner that the final particle size (TG.sub.L) of the latex to be produced is governed by the following equation:TG.sub.L =TG.sub.S .times.(m.sub.L /D.sub.L).sup.1/3 (m.sub.S /D.sub.S).sup.1/3,in whichD.sub.L =density of the latex particles in the latex to be producedD.sub.S =density of the particles of the seed usedm.sub.L =mass of the latex particles in the latex to be producedm.sub.S =mass of the particles of the seed usedTG.sub.L =particle size of the latex to be producedTG.sub.

  • Patent number: 5230940
Abstract: A formable sheet-form textile material for lining noise-affected rooms, particularly the passenger compartment of motor vehicles, consisting of a fabric, a needled or tufted layer as the visible surface, at least one thermoformable and foam-backable layer and a foamed backcoating, in which the layer serving as the visible surface consists of needlefelt or of a tufted surface (2) needled into felt as the backing layer (1), to the back of which a layer (3) of foamed latex, an impermeable barrier layer (4) and, optionally, the foamed backcoating (5) are applied. The backing layer may also be a thin layer of a lightly bonded felt onto which a thicker layer of an unbonded felt is laminated by means of a binder which simultaneously binds the needling into the backing layer. The layers have a permeability to sound which continuously decreases from the backing layer (1) to the backcoating (5). The barrier layer (4) is formed by a film or by a coating of unfoamed latex.

  • Patent number: 4687350
Abstract: A sealed bearing arrangement for the ring rollers of a cold rolling mill is provided with a rolling bearing mounted on a journal of a rolling shaft and seated in the bore of a chock, and a pair of housing covers fastened to said chock on respective sides of said rolling bearing. Each of the housing covers has a bore in which a pair of sliding rings and a pair of O-ring seals are arranged. The sliding rings of each pair have mutually abutting end surfaces and respective outer conical circumferential surfaces which are resiliently supported by the respective separate O-ring seals. The O-ring seals in turn are supported by a conical bore surface formed on the corresponding housing cover and by a conical inner surface of a washer seated adjacent the inner ring of the bearing respectively. At least one shim ring is inserted between the side surface of a ring of the rolling bearing and a supporting shoulder surface of one of the housing covers or washers.
