  • Patent number: 8615890
Abstract: A chain saw includes a guide bar for a saw chain, a housing, a sprocket wheel cover, and a stud fixed on the housing for threadably fastening the sprocket wheel cover and the guide bar. The free thread end of the stud has a maximum usable screw-in depth (tmax) for a nut. A stop for the sprocket wheel cover having a stop surface as well as a support surface for contact engaging the stop surface are provided. In the mounted state of the guide bar, a distance (a) remains between the stop surface and the support surface. The support surface contact engages the stop surface when the guide bar is removed and the nut is tightened and screwed onto the studs to a stop screw-in depth. The stop is configured in such a manner that the maximum usable screw-in depth (tmax) is greater than the stop screw-in depth.

  • Patent number: 7270320
Abstract: An antivibration element (1) is especially for a portable handheld work apparatus such as a motor-driven chain saw or a brushcutter. The antivibration element includes a coil spring (2) and at least one guide. An end section (7, 8) of the coil spring (2) is fixed to the guide. In order to provide a progressive characteristic line of the coil spring (2) in a simple way, the coil spring (2) has a transition section (11, 12), which borders at the end section (7, 8) and is guided with play on the guide. When the coil spring is under load, the turns of the transition section come at least in part into contact engagement with a helically-shaped slot in the guide so that the spring stiffness of the antivibration unit increases.

  • Patent number: 7152853
Abstract: A manually operated implement such as a chain saw, a parting-off grinder or similar device has an internal combustion engine to drive a tool and a handle arrangement to operate the implement. The handle arrangement is connected to the internal combustion engine via a vibration damping system, the vibration damping system comprising at least one anti-vibration element. • Publication number: 20060068849
Abstract: It is proposed to decrease the interference in a CDMA network by automatically adapting the radiation pattern, and thereby the coverage areas, of a cell to the service coverage area without operator intervention. This will increase the overall capacity of the network, because a fully loaded cell generates less interference to neighboring cells and hence leaves more capacity in those cells. It will avoid coverage holes in case certain cells become highly loaded such that their coverage area shrinks (“cell breathing”). In an embodiment of the invention, the radiation pattern is adapted by changing the down-tilt of the antenna.

Top and lateral grips have identical elliptical cross-sections rotated to one another in the circumferential direction of the grip by an angle of rotation. Cross-sections have a first diameter larger than a second diameter. Mold depressions have recesses for molding elongate, raised portions in the longitudinal direction. Recesses are adjacent circumferentially and extend spirally. Separation surfaces of mold halves are positioned in a longitudinal center plane of a recess adjacent the first diameter.
