    Abstract: A process and a device for cutting label sleeves off from a flat tubular belt, unfolding and attaching the tubular label sleeves to objects, whereby a flat label sleeve is, no later than immediately after the cutting off of the tubular label belt, grasped on one side, transported continuously away, in a regular manner, by a cutting device while likewise grasped on the opposite side for a short time, in a non-uniform manner relative to the other side, transported in the same direction, and is, after that, opened by means of a lateral expansion of distance of both of the flat sides.
