    Abstract: A pulley for the production of a belt drive, in particular for driving deceleration wheels, conveying wheels and acceleration wheels in cableway systems, is formed in its central region with a hub for connecting it to a drive shaft and at its periphery with an annular belt surface, in particular a groove, for a drive belt or the like. The pulley consists of sheet steel and the belt surface provided on its periphery thereof is produced by splitting the rim of the pulley.
