  • Patent number: 9272904
Abstract: This invention relates to the production of synthesis gas by partial oxidation of liquid or gaseous, carbonaceous fuel in the presence of an oxygen-containing oxidant, wherein the fuel, the oxidant and a moderator are separately supplied to a burner and wherein the fuel and the moderator are mixed in a mixing chamber of the burner, before they are brought in contact with the oxidant. To reduce the load of the burner in particular during operation with transient conditions, the oxidant is centrally introduced through an outlet opening of the burner into a combustion chamber and the mixture of fuel and moderator is introduced through the outlet opening into the combustion chamber concentrically around the oxidant.

  • Publication number: 20100063337
Abstract: The invention relates to a reactor for the production of C2 to C8 olefins from gaseous oxygenate and H2O and one or more material flows containing C2 C4, C5, C6, C7, C8 olefin and paraffin at 400° to 470° C., wherein several reaction stages which the material flow can pass through from the top to the bottom, each consisting of a support base with a catalyst layer situated on it, are arranged in a closed, upright container.

  • Patent number: 6998177
Abstract: The alkali-free or alkali-poor glass body is provided with an adherent and anti-reflective coating on at least one of its sides. The coating contains P2O5 and porous SiO2, preferably in a weight ratio of SiO2 to P2O5 of 10:1 to 1:1. It has a rubbing resistance criterion according to DIN 58196, intensity of testing H50, of 2 or better. The method of providing the glass body with the coating includes dipping the glass body in a H3PO4- and SiO2-containing volatile solution, withdrawing the glass body at a speed of from 1 mm/s to 20 mm/s from the solution and tempering the glass body at a temperature of under Tg of the glass.

  • Publication number: 20030170465
Abstract: The glass body used in a solar energy apparatus is provided with an adherent and anti-reflective coating on at least one of its sides. The coating contains phosphorous and porous SiO2 and preferably has a rubbing resistance criterion according to DIN 58196-5, intensity of testing H50, of 2 or better. The solution for making the coating containing porous silica and phosphorous is also part of the invention. It preferably has a pH of from 1 to 2 and contains from 0.1 to 2 percent by weight of HNO3 or HCl, a lower alcohol with from one to five carbon atoms, from 0.1 to 3.5 percent by weight H3PO4 and from 0.5 to 7 percent by weight of an SiO2 sol.

  • Publication number: 20030121729
Abstract: The invention comprises a lift belt having a ribbed profile on a pulley engaging surface. The lift belt also comprises steel tensile cords within an elastomeric body. The ribbed profile engages a ribbed profile on a pulley. The lift belt exhibits increased load lifting capacity due to the increased surface area of the ribs as compared to a flat belt. The belt also comprises conductive tensile cords having a resistance. A change in resistance is used for measuring a belt condition as well as a belt load.
