  • Publication number: 20070041598
Abstract: The invention concerns a system for and a method of location-sensitive reproduction of audio signals. The object of the invention is therefore to provide a system for the reproduction of audio signals, which is capable of providing for optimum reproduction of audio signals at a plurality of points in space. In accordance with the invention, a system for location-sensitive reproduction of audio signals comprises at least one electroacoustic transducer for the reproduction of audio signals, at least one location-sensitive detection device for detecting the position of at least one object for which a reproduction of audio signals is intended, and a central unit for calculating and controlling the audio signal output of each individual transducer for the optimum reproduction of the audio signals at the position of the object, which is detected by the location-sensitive detection device.

  • Patent number: 6895823
Abstract: A device for measuring the flow velocity and/or the throughput of a fluid by means of ultrasound, with at least one ultrasonic transducer (16, 18) arranged on the outside of a wall (14) of a pipeline (12) and in contact with the wall (14). In order to provide an improved measurement device, with which the maintenance expense can be reduced and which has a greater measurement accuracy, a portion (32) of the wall forms a part (30) of the ultrasonic transducer.

  • Patent number: 6672166
Abstract: An ultrasonic transducer system which has an ultrasound transducer and a filter supporting the transducer. To suppress the transmission of ultrasound signals through a housing of the ultrasound transducer arrangement, the filter is provided with a vibration plate for emitting ultrasound waves and is coupled to a deflecting segment which converts radial movements of a first section of the filter into torsional movements of a second section of the filter.

  • Patent number: 6570295
Abstract: An ultrasound converter, especially of the axial oscillating type, with at least one piezoelectric element disposed between two tensioning segments and at least one tensioning member which prestresses the piezoelectric element via the tensioning segments. The tensioning element is a ring-shaped tensioning spring the walls of which have at least one peripheral recess.
