  • Reclosable opening device for packages for pourable food products

    Abstract: The reclosable opening device (1) has a frame (2) integratable with a package to be opened, a pouring opening (6) defined by the frame member, and a reclosable cap (4) releasable connected by screw threads (5) to the frame (2) for sealing the pouring opening (6). An indicator member (7) is rotatably associated with the frame (2) and releasably connected to the reclosable cap (4) by rupturable connection bridges (12a-12f) for indicating a sealed condition of the opening device in a first position. A ratchet mechanism (13 , 15-17) is interposed between the frame (2) and the indicator member (7) for retaining the indicator member (7) in a second position, which is spaced from the first position, for indicating an opened condition of the reclosable cap (4).
