  • Patent number: 10969492
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to provide an architecture of a laser imager having high spatial resolution, compatible with an application installed on board a vehicle, in particular on board an aircraft. For this purpose, the invention proposes the generation of a piece of wide-field laser ranging information by a suitable remote optical system. An example of a piece of equipment (1) according to the invention installed on board an aircraft moving in an environment that is likely to contain obstacles (4), in particular an aircraft on the ground, includes a laser range finder (11) coupled to an optical fibre (F1) emitting laser pulses (I), which is itself coupled to an optical system providing an interface with the environment (12) via an optical cross-connect (13) coupled to a covered optical fibre bundle, in the form of laser illuminations (Fi).

  • Patent number: 9825436
Abstract: The invention relates to optimize the use of electronic cabinets in connector technology, using simplified internal connector technology and flexibility in adapting the external connector technology to the connectors of the cabling assemblies—electronic and/or optical connector technologies—and on the structurally. To this end, according to an embodiment, an overall box-shaped electronic cabinet (1) that is fitted with at least one detachable interconnection module (6a, 6b) is provided with a bottom wall (14) including a bottom card (4) connected to a set of electronic modules (5). The rear wall (14) is extended by edges (14a, 14b) provided with connectors (C1a, C1b) that are capable of being coupled to the connectors (C6a, C6b) that are arranged on a side surface (62a, 62b) of the detachable interconnection module (6a) (6b).

  • Publication number: 20140092206
Abstract: An aircraft (11) includes a system for observing part of the external environment of the aircraft. The environment observation system includes a camera, known as a panoramic camera (21, 22, 23), including a stationary camera associated with a lens that can focus a panoramic field of view simultaneously in both azimuth, about an axis of the panoramic camera, and elevation in a plane containing the axis. The panoramic camera is connected to at least one display screen disposed inside the aircraft (11) and is positioned such that part of the external environment of the aircraft (11) is located in its field of view.

  • Publication number: 20140061477
Abstract: An active device (10) for viewing a scene, includes a light source (12) suitable for emitting electromagnetic radiation towards the scene to be viewed. The device (10) also includes a detector (14), and is configured to activate the detector so as to measure at least a portion of the electromagnetic radiation emitted by the light source and returned by the scene viewed. The electromagnetic radiation emitted by the light source (12) is infrared radiation at least partially included within a spectral band, referred to as the “viewing band”, the wavelengths of which are between 8 micrometers and 15 micrometers, and the detector (14) is designed to measure infrared radiation within the viewing band. Such an active viewing device (10) is particularly suited to viewing in foggy or rainy weather. A viewing method is also described.
