Abstract: In a lock for sliding door, window or like closure the slider has on its face adjacent the outside wall of the casing a member projecting a predetermined distance which projects through the slot in the locked position of the slider and abuts against the edge surface of the outside wall defining the longitudinal end of the slot. A return spring between the slider and the casing spring-loads the slider towards the outside wall of the casing but allows movement of the slider in the direction perpendicular to the outside wall over a distance at least equal to the predetermined distance.

Abstract: In a lock for sliding closures a maneuvering member is mounted to pivot about a pivot pin passing through the casing in the transverse direction of a slot and the maneuvering member and the bolt-carrier include, in the case of one of them, a cam surface and, in the case of the other of them, a ram follower roller which cooperates with the cam surface to enable sliding of the bolt-carrier in one direction or the other when the maneuvering member pivots in one direction or the other about its pivot pin.

Abstract: A lock for sliding door, window or like closure includes a drive member mobile in the longitudinal direction of the casing relative to the casing and includes an arrangement which cooperates with a complementary arrangement attached to the cylinder to enable the drive member to be moved in one direction or the other by means of the key and another arrangement which cooperates with a complementary arrangement of the sliding assembly to enable the sliding assembly to be moved by means of the key.

Abstract: In a lock for sliding closures two fixing members are disposed at respective corresponding ends of the casing and inserted with the casing into a slot in the closure. A first fixing member has at least one part which retracts elastically in the longitudinal direction of the casing in the direction towards the center of the casing to enable it to pass through the slot in the closure and to return elastically in the opposite direction to engage the corresponding edge surface of the slot.

Abstract: In a lock for sliding closures a covering plate forms an integral part of a sliding assembly. Fixing members include arrangements to receive complementary arrangements of the covering plate and to cooperate with the latter to guide the moving assembly when it slides relative to the wall and to hold it against the wall.

Abstract: In a lock fitting for sliding closures the bolt-carrier has at least one slot to receive the tail of a bolt carrying at least one hook and includes at least one screwthreaded hole having an axis perpendicular to the walls of the slot to receive an immobilizing screw for immobilizing the tail of the bolt against the wall of the slot opposite the immobilizing screw. The tail of the bolt includes at least one opening extending in the longitudinal direction of the slot and the screw bears on at least one edge of the opening.

Abstract: A lock for a sliding door, window or like closure comprises a casing forming a slide fixed relative to a profile and extending substantially in a transverse direction of the profile and a mobile member mounted to slide relative to the casing forming a slide in the transverse direction and fastened to the feeler and to the abutment member.

Abstract: In a lock fitting for sliding closures a bolt-carrier includes a screwthreaded hole with its axis perpendicular to a covering plate to receive a screw for immobilizing a bolt on the bolt-carrier. The covering plate has an orifice for access to the screw and to the screwthreaded hole on the axis of the screwthreaded hole when the bolt-carrier is in its locked position. The fitting includes a plug to blank off the orifice. The plug can be retracted inside the casing to allow access to the screw and then returned to its normal position in which it blanks off the orifice.
