  • Patent number: 8377354
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing a film comprising at least one layer of a thermoplastic fluoro-polymer and at least one layer of another polymer (A). The inventive method consists in using extrusion blow molding to coextrude a fluoro-polymer and polymer (A) which adhere to one another; with a layer of another thermoplastic polymer (B) such that it forms a layer which is adjacent to the fluoropolymer/polymer (A) layer According to the invention, the thermoplastic polymer (B) is incompatible with the fluoro-polymer and polymer (A) and has adequate extrudate behavior to support the layers of fluoro-polymer and/or polymer (A). Once the coextrudate has been cooled, by separating the layer(s) of (B), at least the film is recovered, said film comprising at least one layer of a polymer selected from among thermoplastic fluoro-polymers and polymers (A).

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing a film comprising at least one layer of a polymer selected from among thermoplastic fluoro-polymer and polymers (A). The inventive method consists in using extrusion blow moulding to coextrude the following: a) at least one layer of a thermoplastic fluoro-polymer and at least one layer of polymer (A); or b) at least one layer of a thermoplastic fluoro-polymer containing charges and optionally at least one other fluoro-polymer layer; or c) at least one layer of polymer (A), the layers extruded in a), b) or c) adhering to one another; d) a layer of another thermoplastic polymer (B) such that it forms a layer which is adjacent to the assembly of layers extruded in a), b) or c); e) optionally another layer of (B) which is adjacent to the assembly of layers extruded in a), b) or c) on the side opposite that of the layer extruded in d).

  • Patent number: 6432548
Abstract: The invention relates to compositions containing a polyamide matrix (A) and a polyolefin dispersed phase (B), in which compositions the polyamide has a melting point below that of PA-6 and the dispersed phase consists of at least one polyolefin (B) chosen from functionalized polyolefins (B1) and non-functionalized polyolefins (B2). Advantageously, (A) is PA-6/12 or PA-6/6,6. These compositions are useful for making monolayer or multilayer films by extrusion with EVA or PE.

  • Patent number: 4871506
Abstract: A process for manufacturing thermoplastic polymer films by coextrusion comprising coextruding by blow extrusion at least two thermoplastic polymers, one of the polymers being a semi-crystalline fluid polymer, the other a thermoplastic polymer incompatible with and with no adhesive affinity for the semi-crystalline fluid polymer and possessing sufficient extrudate strength to support the semi-crystalline polymer, cooling the coextrudate, separation of the resulting films, and recovering at least the semi-crystalline thermoplastic polymer film thus formed in the form of a film of substantially uniform thickness.
