    Assignee: ECM TECHNOLOGIES
    Inventors: Gérard Tissot, Francis Pelissier
  • Patent number: 9365909
Abstract: A cell for quenching a charge under an atmosphere of gas comprises a centrifugal or helicon-centrifugal impeller comprising a gas intake opening and gas discharge openings. The impeller is rotated by a motor to cause a flow of the gas between the charge and a heat exchanger. The quenching cell comprises first and second mobile half-volutes. In a first position, the first half-volute guides the gas discharged by a first part of the discharge openings and the second half-volute closes off a first portion of the intake opening. In a second position, the second half-volute guides the gas discharged by a second part, different from the first part, of the discharge openings and the first half-volute shuts off a second portion of the intake opening.

  • Publication number: 20140284851
Abstract: A cell for quenching a charge under an atmosphere of gas comprises a centrifugal or helicon-centrifugal impeller comprising a gas intake opening and gas discharge openings. The impeller is rotated by a motor to cause a flow of the gas between the charge and a heat exchanger. The quenching cell comprises first and second mobile half-scrolls. In a first position, the first half-scroll guides the gas discharged by a first part of the discharge openings and the second half-scroll closes off a first portion of the intake opening. In a second position, the second half-scroll guides the gas discharged by a second part, different from the first part, of the discharge openings and the first half-scroll shuts off a second portion of the intake opening.

  • Publication number: 20080084011
Abstract: The invention concerns a treatment machine for low pressure carburizing of metal parts comprising at least one carburizing temperature-setting cell (2), one carbon-enriching cell (3) and one carbon-diffusing cell (4), arranged in succession one after the other. The cells (2, 3, 4) are of standard shape and of length (L1, L2, L3) adaptable and proportional to the duration of the treatment performed in each cell. Each cell (2, 3, 4) comprises a treatment zone (14) located between an input module (10a) and an output module (10b), each constituting a cold zone, thermally insulated from the treatment zone (14) of the corresponding cell (2, 3, 4). The machine (1) comprises means for driving forward and transferring parts between the cells, located in the input (10a) and output (10b) modules of the cells (2, 3, 4).
