  • Publication number: 20180308502
Abstract: A method for processing an input signal having an audio component is described. The method includes obtaining a set of time parameters from a time frequency transformation of the audio component of the input signal, the audio component being a mixture of audio signals comprising at least one first audio signal of a first audio source; determining at least one motion feature of the first audio source from a visual sequence corresponding to the first audio signal; obtaining a weight vector of the set of time parameters based on the motion feature; and determining a time frequency transformation of the first audio signal based on the weight vector.

  • Patent number: 9520137
Abstract: A method for suppressing the late reverberation of an audio signal. A plurality of prediction vectors are calculated. A plurality of observation vectors from the modulus of the complex time-frequency transform of an input signal is generated. A plurality of synthesis dictionaries from the plurality of observation vectors are constructed. A late reverberation spectrum from the plurality of synthesis dictionaries and the plurality of prediction vectors are estimated. A plurality of observation vectors are filtered to eliminate the late reverberation spectrum and obtain a dereverberated signal modulus.

  • Publication number: 20140037110
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of forming one or more digital audio mixed signals (Sout) on the basis of at least two digital audio source signals (S1, S2), in which the digital audio mixed signal or signals are formed by mixing the digital audio source signals. A characteristic digital magnitude of at least one digital audio source signal is compressed into a series of bits and said series of bits is inserted into said digital audio source signal or into the digital audio mixed signals in an almost inaudible or inaudible manner, The characteristic digital magnitude is the temporal, spectral or spectro-temporal distribution of said digital audio source signal or the temporal, spectral or spectro-temporal contribution of said digital audio source signal in the mixed signal or signals, or said digital audio source signal.

  • Patent number: 6606600
Abstract: Using a group of spectral components from an audio signal, a coder produces a digital data stream (&PHgr;) including the quantification indices (QE0m) of at least some of the spectral components (E0m). The coder, or a transcoder situated downstream, selects at least one pair of components exhibiting a maximum correlation out of the group of spectral components, and includes in its digital output data stream identification information for each pair selected. At least some of the quantification indices are included in the output data stream for only one of the components for each pair selected. The decoder will use these to obtain the suppressed indices for the other component of the pair.

  • Patent number: 6369722
Abstract: On the basis of a portion of the signal, a coder selects a parameter vector belonging to a reference library containing 2Q vectors each designated by an address of Q bits. This coder, or a transcoder located downstream, forms a digital data stream (&PHgr;) containing an index deduced from the address of the vector selected. For each rate value corresponding to an integer p≧0, the index contained in the digital data stream is formed of Q−p bits which, completed by p bits of predetermined positions, define indices of Q bits representing a group of 2p addresses including that of the vector selected from the reference library. The decoder receiving the digital data stream, or a transcoder located upstream, is capable of reconstructing appropriate parameter vectors on the basis of the truncated index. Thus very fine steps are obtained in the adjustment of the transmission rate.
