The operating fluid is sealed in the pipe and soaks the wick. The operating fluid includes a pure liquid, and a plurality of carbon nanocapsules (23) suspended in the pure liquid. The pure liquid can be selected from the group consisting of pure water, ammonia, methanol, acetone and heptane. Each carbon nanocapsule is a polyhedral carbon cluster (231), with a metal (232) having high thermal conductivity filled therein. The operating fluid has high thermal conductivity and uniform operation, and is recyclable with no pollution of the environment. The heat pipe has correspondingly high thermal conductivity.

    Abstract: A wear resistant EMI shield includes a metallic film or multiple metallic films, and a carbon-nanotube coating (14) formed on the metallic film or multiple metallic films. In a preferred embodiment, the structure of the wear resistant EMI shield is CNT/Ni/Cu/Ni/. The thickness of metallic film is in the range from 20 to 100 nm and the thickness of carbon-nanotube coating is in the range from 10 to 200 nm. The wear resistant EMI shield may apply to various substrate surfaces (10) of electronic equipment, such as the shell of computer, play-station, wireless equipment, mobile phones, automobiles, airplanes, commercial appliance and consumer products, etc. The wear resistant EMI shield has good wear resistance, EMI shield effect, thin thickness and lightweight.

    Abstract: A thermally conductive material includes a supercritical fluid and a number of carbon nanotubes incorporated in the supercritical fluid. The supercritical fluid may be selected from a group consisting of carbon dioxide, water, ammonia, ethane, ethane, nitrous oxide, propane, butane, pentane, and so on. The carbon nanotubes may be selected from the group consisting of single-wall carbon nanotubes, double-wall carbon nanotubes, mult-wall carbon nanotubes, or other kinds of carbon nanotubes. The carbon nanotubes have an average length of less than 1 micron and an average diameter of less than 100 nanometers. The supercritical fluid has dual characteristices of a liquid and a gas, and the carbon nanotubes have excellent thermal conductivity. As a result, the thermally conductive material becomes a nano-super heat conductor with excellent thermal conductivity and high efficiency of thermal conductivity, and is suitable for heat dissipation of various heat sources.
