  • Patent number: 7391309
Abstract: A monitoring system for driver's braking habits comprising a sensor connected to brakes of a vehicle provided to sense and evaluate the following levels of pressure being applied to the brakes by a driver: normal pressure, above normal pressure and an excessive pressure level. The sensor is adapted to activate a warning signal element connected to the sensor and is provided to warn the driver when the pressure level exceeds the above normal pressure level and the excessive pressure level which facilitates correction of bad driving habits of the driver and development of preventive driving techniques. The sensor comprises a first sensor adapted to sense and evaluate the above normal pressure level, and a second sensor adapted to sense and evaluate the excessive pressure level.

  • Patent number: 7264092
Abstract: Wheel chock restraint system comprising a wheel chock, a supporting element mounted on the ground near a loading dock and a support assembly connected by one end to the wheel chock and by another end near the loading dock. A base portion of the chock is provided with first engagement elements and the supporting elements are provided with corresponding second engagement elements, cooperating to create a retention force to prevent the chock from sliding away from the wheel of a vehicle attempting to depart prematurely. The first engagement elements comprise teeth extending downwardly under an angle and the second engagement elements are stoppers extending upwardly from the supporting element. This system also comprises an anti-theft locking device; which, together with the first and second engagement elements, securely locks the chock on the wheel of the vehicle to prevent any unauthorized removal of the chock and theft of the vehicle.

Abstract: Wheel chock restraint system comprising a wheel chock, a supporting element mounted on the ground in vicinity of a loading dock and a wheel chock support assembly connected by one end to the wheel chock and by another end in vicinity of the loading dock. A base portion of the chock is provided with first engagement elements and the supporting elements are provide with corresponding second engagement elements. The first engagement elements are adapted to cooperate with the second engagement elements, thus creating a retention force directed away from the loading dock and preventing the chock from sliding away from the wheel of a vehicle making an attempt to depart prematurely from the loading dock. Wheel chock support assembly is adapted to ensure a secure positioning of the chock under the wheel of the vehicle during loading and unloading operation by creating an engagement force directed towards the loading dock and pressing the chock against the wheel.

  • Patent number: 6690287
Abstract: A safety system for entering and exiting garage doors and entrances comprises a warning sign adapted to be placed by an attachment cable at a primary line of sight of a driver of a truck during lowering and raising movement of the door. A delay circuit is provided to facilitate a movement of the sign in such a manner that the sign will always appear first in the primary line of sight of the driver to eliminate a possibility of collision between the truck and the door. A moving mechanism is adapted to lower the sign into an operational position and provided to keep the sign in non-operational retracted position when the door is completely open to ensure clearance for moving truck. The warning sign is activated by a warning sign activating device such as a motor-driven assembly. The door is activated by a door detector adapted to transmit signal to a door control panel operating the movement of the door by a door motor.
