Abstract: A tape-conveying system for forward and backward playing magnetic tape recorder and/or playback unit is disclosed a motor (19) driving the magnetic tape (8) at the required speed, a sound shaft (2) interconnected with the motor (19) and fixed through a bearing to a frame (1), a device transmitting movement of the sound shaft (2) to the magnetic tape (8) form a drive mechanism, two winding shafts (4, 5), tape-spindles (6, 7) placed on said winding shafts (4, 5) and winding and unwinding mechanisms connected with the winding shafts, these mechanisms being asynchronous winding clutches (22, 23) and asynchronous unwinding clutches (20, 21) are included in the system. The clothes are interconnected with each winding shaft (4, 5), with the other side of the winding clutches (22, 23) is connected with the driving motor (19). The other side of the unwinding clutches (20, 21) connected with the frame (1), and only one of said connections functions simultaneously on the same winding shaft (4 or 5).

Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for the removal of ferromagnetic materials from liquids, organic or inorganic compounds and mixtures, respectively, mainly fuels, for treating with a magnetic field and reduction of surface tension.The apparatus according to the invention contains a plurality -at least two- coaxial magnets having a hole therein and being in the direction of flow of the liquid and being separated by a disc, as well as housing made of a non-magnetizable material closed at both ends with end-closing means and provided with a bore for passing through the liquid to be treated.

Abstract: A blow lance for treating molten metal comprising a concentric metal pipe structure enclosed within a ceramic covering with a space defined between the pipe structure and the covering. A layer of heat-resistant elastic fibrous material, excluding a binder, is positioned in the space. Ducting means forming coolant ducts are located between the concentric pipes.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for checking a heterogeneous transformation process of diffusion kinetics taking in a turbulent flow of a liquid, whereby the real-time checking or control of the processes is possible. The method involves the steps of detecting acoustic vibrations caused by oscillations of bubbles present in the turbulent flow of liquid, producing an electric signal reflecting the spectral compostion of the detected signal, and forming therefrom a measure signal reflecting the relative instantaneous value of the turbulent diffusion coefficient of the flowing liquid. The apparatus comprises a series circuit including an acoustic sensing unit 1, an amplifier 2, signal processing means 3 and computing means 4, wherein the signal processing means 3 are equipped with a circuit for dividing the output signal of the amplifier 2 into spectral ranges and determining a characteristic value and the average value for each range and the ratio of the characteristic values.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of clay mineral-containing gels with stabilized structure and reversible water absorption ability.According to the invention an aqueous suspension containing a thixotropic, activated, swelling clay mineral of three-layer structure and/or a swelling chain silicate is treated with a water soluble polymer capable of reacting with the clay mineral and/or chain silicate, the clay mineral:polymer:water ratios are determined at which the resistance of medium of the resulting suspension is at least ten times higher than that of the initial, polymer-free suspension, and then the components are reacted with each other in the pre-determined ratios.

Abstract: The invention relates to synergistic antiphlogistic pharmaceutical compositions comprising a pyrido [1,2-a]-pyrimidine derivative of the Formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are lower alkyl and R.sup.3 stands for lower alkoxycarbonyl or carbamoyl and the dotted line represents an optionally hydrogenated band or a salt or quaternary salt thereof and 1-[p-chloro-benzoly]-2-methyl-5-methoxy-indolyl-3-acetic acid of the Formula II ##STR2## The advantage of the compositions is that as a result of the synergistic activity of the compound of the Formula I, the antiphlogistic Indomethacin of the Formula II can be administered in a significantly lower doses and consequently the unfavorable side effects of the latter compound are mitigated.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for stabilizing an aqueous gel-forming system comprising one or more water-soluble acrylic monomer as gellifying agent, methylenebis-acrylamide co-monomer and/or one or more mono- or bivalent aldehyde as cross-linking agent, a redox catalyst system containing an alkali metal and/or ammonium persulfate as oxidizing component along with one or more amine compound as reducing component, furthermore optionally one or more water-soluble polymer for adjusting the viscosity of the solution and/or modifying the gel structure. According to the invention said gel-forming system is stabilized by saturating it with molecular oxygen.The invention relates further to a process for improving the strength and impermeability of particulate materials and/or solid articles.

Abstract: The invention relates to stabilized, prostaglandin-containing tablets with controlled rate of solubility, for local use and a process for the preparation thereof. The tablets according to the invention comprise 0.2 to 20% by weight of one or more natural or synthetic prostaglandins, 0.4 to 40% by weight of a non-toxic buffer, which adjusts the pH of the liquid film formed on the surface of the solid phase due to air humidity, to 3 to 5, 1 to 50% by weight of stearic acid, 0 to 15% by weight of an alkali earth metal stearate, 10 to 95% by weight of lactose and/or mannite, 0 to 15% by weight of a further granulation aid, 1 to 30% by weight of a disintegrating agent and optionally 0.5 to 10% by weight of a flavoring and aroma substance and are prepared under a pressure of 500 to 2000 kp./cm.sup.2. Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition having synergistic analgesic effect which includes an azido compound of the formula: ##SPC1##namely an azido morphine or an azido codeine, and at least one compound of the formula: ##SPC2##The synergistic composition has been found to have less narcotic side effects than morphine and equal or better analgesic properties.
