The electronic air treatment device has a storage device for storing device information indicative of at least an operation condition and/or an identity of the electronic air treatment device. The terminal device is configured to capture the device information from the storage device and transmit the device information to the server device, which is configured to check the device information by comparing the device information with corresponding device information of the electronic air treatment device initially stored within the server device.
