  • Publication number: 20060120697
Abstract: A method for audio and visual content download and playback includes downloading a clip that includes audio and visual content from a web site. It is contemplated the clip has been segmented into a plurality of smaller clips. The method continues with storing the metadata for the plurality of smaller clips in a local storage and initiating playback of the plurality of smaller clips. The method also includes displaying the content of a first of the plurality of smaller clips while a second of the plurality of smaller clips is being downloaded.

  • Patent number: 6978052
Abstract: The complexity of image stitching into a panoramic image is simplified with the use of one or more projectable fiducial marks that ease the establishment of a relationship between adjacent scenes of an image without leaving undesirable fiducial vestiges in the final image. A fiducial generator, having a controllable source of illumination, is positionable to project the fiducial into adjacent and overlapping scenes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 28, 2002
Date of Patent: December 20, 2005
    Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.

  • Patent number: 6862588
Abstract: A system and method are provided for parsing a markup file. The present system includes a hybrid parser that employs both a lightweight parser and a heavy weight parser to parse a markup file. The lightweight parser is capable of performing a first set of parsing tasks and the heavyweight parser is capable of performing a second set of parsing tasks, where the first set of parsing tasks is a subset of the second set of parsing tasks. In addition, the hybrid parser provides for transitioning a parsing of a markup file from the lightweight parser to the heavyweight parser upon an occurrence of a transition event. A transition event is defined, for example, as the circumstance where the lightweight parser is required to perform a parsing task that is beyond its capability.

  • Publication number: 20030022586
Abstract: A unique throwable implement provides packaging and distribution of a recorded medium and opportunity for promotional dissemination. A CD is disposed with a Frisbee™-like implement for distribution of the CD. The gyroscopic stability of the implement is not unnecessarily compromised while physical protection of the CD is maintained.
