Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically changing an Operational Mode (“OM”) of a Virtual Machine (“VM”). The methods comprise: detecting an OM change of a Computing Device (“CD”) from a first OM to a second OM in response to (a) a coupling or decoupling of an external device to/from the CD or (b) a reception of a user-software interaction for changing the OM; communicating information indicating CD's OM change from first software of the CD directly to a Virtual Desktop Agent (“VDA”) of the VM; performing first operations by the VDA to determine whether a third OM in which the VM is currently operating is the same as the second OM in which CD is currently operating; and performing second operations by the VDA to transform the third OM of the VM to the second OM when a determination is made that the third OM is different than the second OM.
