Abstract: A system and method for managing risk content of an electronic file is provided. An electronic file is received by one or more processors. A selection of at least one of a depth of risk content removal indicator or a confidence level associated with risk content removal in which the electronic file satisfies a threshold confidence value is received. One or more policies based on the selection is applied to process the electronic file by selectively implementing an iterative routine. A processing result of the electronic file is determined based on the applied policies, which includes passing the electronic file to a user or converting the electronic file and passing the converted electronic file to the user. An estimated response and recovery cost is calculated from ingestion of each electronic file, and is provided to the user.
