Abstract: A construction system including a panel support accessory is disclosed. In addition to the panel support construction accessory, the construction system includes at least one structural support member, a construction panel and a coating. The panel support construction accessory includes a front flange having a first side and a second opposite side, a bottom flange extending from the front flange on the first side of the front flange and a back flange extending from the bottom flange opposite the front flange. The front flange, the bottom flange and the back flange form a channel. The back flange is supported by the at least one structural support member. The panel support construction accessory additional includes a forward flange extending from a junction of the front flange and the bottom flange on the second side of the front flange.

Abstract: A construction accessory for use with a construction panel includes a flange having an inner surface adapted to face the construction panel and an outer surface opposite the inner surface. The flange further includes at least one perforation extending through the flange between the inner surface and the outer surface and a depression in the inner surface. The depression is in communication with said at least one perforation.

Abstract: A construction system includes an accessory and a construction panel. The accessory includes a first flange, a second flange and a third flange extending between the first flange and the second flange. The first flange, the second flange and the third flange form a channel. The construction panel is at least partially disposed within the channel. The third flange includes a plurality of perforations extending therethrough. In one embodiment, the plurality of perforations extend in an array. In another embodiment, the accessory additionally includes a fourth flange facing the third flange and spaced from the third flange to form a cavity between the third flange and the fourth flange adjacent to the plurality of perforations.

Abstract: A panel support construction accessory includes a back flange and a bottom flange obliquely extending from the back flange. The bottom flange includes an array of perforations for permitting moisture removal. Preferably, the panel support construction accessory additionally includes a lower flange coupled to the bottom flange and spaced from the bottom flange to create a cavity below the array of perforations. A filter material, such as open cellular material, is supported adjacent the array of perforations. The filter material transmits moisture. Alternatively, the construction accessory includes a forward flange extending between the lower flange and the bottom flange in lieu of or in addition to the filter material. Preferably, at least one of the lower flange and the forward flange includes an opening that communicates with the cavity.

Abstract: A construction panel support member for attachment to a building structure in an end-to-end relationship with a second similar support member. The panel support member includes a back flange attachable to the structure, a bottom flange joined to the back flange at substantially 90 degrees, and a side flange joined to the bottom flange. The bottom flange including a top surface adapted to support a construction panel, and the side flange is substantially parallel with the back flange and extends upwardly from the top surface to a top flange. The top flange is substantially parallel to the top surface and extends from the side flange toward the back flange. The side flange includes a ridge which is substantially parallel to the top surface and extends from the side flange toward the back flange such that a groove is formed between the top surface, the ridge, and the side flange. The groove is adapted to accept a support element engageable with the second support member.
