  • Patent number: 11792162
Abstract: A machine learning (ML) based web application firewall (WAF) is described. Transformation(s) are applied to raw data including normalizing and generating a signature over the normalized data. The signature and the normalized data are vectorized to create a first and second vector of integers that are input into an ML model that includes a first stage that operates on the first vector of integers to identify candidate signature tokens that are commonly associated with different classes of attack, and a second stage that operates on the candidate signature tokens and the second vector of integers and conditions attention on the second vector of integers on the candidate signature tokens. The ML model outputs a score that indicates a probability of the raw data being of a type that is malicious. A traffic processing rule is enforced that instructs a WAF to block traffic when the score is above a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20210096639
Abstract: A control input device for a linked system comprising: a plurality of proximity sensors provided evenly spaced around a ring defined on a common sensor platform, each proximity sensor operable to determine the relative proximity of any objects within a detection zone associated with the proximity sensor and output a proximity signal in response; a core unit operable to receive proximity signals from each proximity sensor and output a directional signal in response thereto; a communication unit operable to communicate the directional signal to the linked system; and one or more illumination units associated with each proximity sensor, wherein the one or more illumination units associated with each proximity sensor are operated in response to the proximity signal output by the associated proximity sensor to indicate directionality of a motion relative to the plurality of sensors.

  • Patent number: 4446560
Abstract: A high power generator for an ion discharge device used for the thermal treatment of metals in a rarified gaseous atmosphere. A variable width pulse generator is used to vary the input power to an inductance means. The frequency of the input pulses is held constant, while the pulse width is varied. An arc protection circuit is provided to sense and prevent an incipient arc across the secondary of the transformer. The arc protection circuit includes a voltage detector and a current detector with logic means to sense an under voltage-over current condition that presages the beginning of an arc. A second embodiment is disclosed which uses two circuits in parallel to drive the ion generator. One circuit is charged while the other is discharged. A third embodiment is disclosed which was a thyristor network for selectively loading the primary circuits of a pair of inductance circuits in response to an inductance-capacitance time constant.

  • Patent number: 4394720
Abstract: An auto-stabilized high power current generator which comprises a controllable frequency oscillator connected to a rectifier by means of a circuit including, in series, an induction coil, a measuring circuit developing a signal representing the current flowing between the oscillator and the rectifier, and a comparator for comparing the measuring circuit signal with a reference signal, and which controls the frequency of the oscillator to cause an increase therein when the measuring circuit signal exceeds the reference signal. The frequency of the oscillator is regulated by a switching circuit controlled, in the event the detected signal is less than the reference signal, by a timing device, and in the event the detected signal is higher than the reference signal, by the pulses delivered by the comparator. The invention is particularly applicable for supplying power to a process involving a discharge in a rarified gaseous atmosphere.
