  • Patent number: 9013567
Abstract: A method for determining the skin age of consumers and a device suitable for implementing the method. The skin age is determined by capturing a predetermined skin area optoelectronically. The image data obtained during capturing the skin area are stored in an intermediate memory. Thereafter the color distribution and/or the color space are determined by means of image analysis. The determination is performed integratively, the result also being stored in an intermediate memory.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 5, 2010
Date of Patent: April 21, 2015
Assignee: Courage + Khazaka Electronic GmbH
Inventors: Sven Clemann, Soeren Jaspers, Maximillian Wolde, Gabriel Khazaka

  • Publication number: 20100228106
Abstract: In a system for measuring changes in skin parameters of living beings on a skin surface to be examined as a function of the residence time of a substance, comprising at least one measuring apparatus for measuring the skin parameters, it is provided that the measuring apparatus is coupled with at least one dispenser means which when operated dispenses a substance associated with this dispenser means and applicable on the skin surface to be examined, the measuring apparatus recording in a memory the time of actuation of the dispenser means and the time of the at least one measurement of the skin parameters for the detection of the residence time of the substance, as well as the skin parameters measured which are associated with the time of measurement.

  • Patent number: 6251070
Abstract: A device for measuring parameters of the skin of living beings on the surface of the skin to be examined, comprising a housing with a light source, an optical recording means, and an image processing means, wherein the housing consists of an applicator, in which an optical recording means formed by a video camera and a light emitting means connected to a light source are integrated, the applicator, which is adapted to be placed on the skin surface, holding the video camera and the light emitting means at a predetermined distance from the skin surface.

  • Patent number: 5935521
Abstract: The invention concerns a measuring device for determining the secretion of the sebum from the skin using a microporous, water-repellent, sebum-absorbing opaque foil (4) which, on contact with the skin, can absorb sebum secreted by the surface of the skin, the transparency of the foil (4) being a measure of the absorbed sebum. In the edge region the sebum-absorbing foil (4) is attached to a carrier (2) which is provided with a window or is transparent in the area of the foil (4) to be brought into contact with the surface of the skin.

  • Patent number: 5684573
Abstract: In a device for measuring a three-dimensional surface structure, in particular skin folds of a human skin surface (9), comprising a transparent support plate (2) for receiving initially liquid silicone material (3) for a silicone impression of the measurement surface and comprising an analyzing unit for analyzing the surface structure of the impression, it is provided, according to the invention, that the support plate (2) comprises a measurement zone (4) which is held at a given distance from the measurement surface (9), that the silicone material (3) to be introduced into the measurement zone (4) is uniformly colored, and that the support plate (2) comprises at least one drainage channel (10) for excess silicone material (3) leading away from the measurement zone (4). The analysis of the silicone impression is effected via a light intensity measurement of the light absorption of the silicone impression.

  • Patent number: 5470349
Abstract: This device for treating skin conditions with galvanotherapy features a DC power supply, one pole of which is connected to a central pin electrode. The other pole is connected either to several counter-electrodes arranged around the central electrode, or to a single counter-electrode shaped to surround the electrode. The electrode and counter-electrode(s) are pressed against the skin, and power is applied to them, treating the area of skin within the pattern defined by the counter-electrode(s) with galvanotherapy. It is possible to treat various sizes and patterns of skin conditions by specifying an appropriate counter-electrode pattern.
